Purpose Intensive Care Unit (ICU) staff report that a large part of the work-related distress they experience is related to communication situations with colleagues, patients, and relatives. Post intensive care syndrome (PICS) is a typical complication of critically ill patients during or after their stay in unit (ICU), characterized by high incidence and impairment rate. It significantly impacts the quality life families, as well consumes substantial amount medical resources. Therefore, early intervention assessment PICS crucial. This paper aims to provide clinical professionals with reference base focusing on symptoms, diagnostic assessment, preventative measures PICS.

Background: Critical care management of shock is a labor-intensive process. Precision Automated Care Management (PACC-MAN) an automated closed-loop system incorporating physiologic and hemodynamic inputs to deliver interventions while avoiding excessive fluid or vasopressor administration. To understand PACC-MAN efficacy, we compared provider-directed (PDM). We hypothesized that would achieve equivalent resuscitation outcomes PDM maintaining normotension with lower requirements. Methods : Twelve swine underwent 30% controlled hemorrhage over 30 min, followed by 45 min aortic occlusion generate vasoplegic state, transfusion euvolemia, randomization for 4.25 h. Primary were total crystalloid volume, administration, time spent at hypotension (mean arterial blood pressure <60 mm Hg), number interventions. Results Weight-based volumes similar between PDM; median IQR are reported (73.1 mL/kg [59.0-78.7] vs. 87.1 [79.4-91.8], P = 0.07). There was no statistical difference in cumulative norepinephrine (PACC-MAN: 33.4 μg/kg [27.1-44.6] PDM: 7.5 [3.3-24.2] μg/kg, 0.09). The percentage 6.2% [3.6-7.4] 3.1% [1.3-6.6], 0.23). Urine outputs (14.0 21.5 mL/kg, 0.13). Conclusion achieves direct human intervention this model. This study provides the first translational experience versus PDM.
