Introduction Antenatal depression, ranging from mild to severe, is influenced by hormonal changes during pregnancy and childbearing years, making it a significant public health issue. with its far-reaching effects on mothers, infants, children, continues be issue in developing countries such as Ethiopia. Only published between January 1, 2010, July 30, 2024, were considered. The search, conducted August 5 15, used CoCoPop questions only English-language reviews. Study quality was assessed AMSTAR tool, data extraction analysis performed using Microsoft Excel 2016 STATA 14.0. I 2 Cochran’s Q tests assess heterogeneity. Pooled effect sizes calculated based pooled prevalence odds ratios for factors, 95% confidence interval indicating statistical significance. Results encompassed 50 primary meta-analyses, involving total 25,233 women. found 24.60% (95% CI: 22.46–26.73). Significant associations identified several factors: unplanned (POR = 2.29; 1.75, 2.82), poor social support 2.10; 1.37, 2.84), history abortion 2.49; 1.64, 3.34), 3.57; 2.43, 4.71), obstetric complications 2.94; 1.61, 4.28). Background/Objectives: Antenatal depression and perceived stress are prevalent mental health challenges faced by pregnant women, they associated with male child preference. This study aimed to assess the feasibility of a modified mindfulness training program for reducing antenatal levels among expectant mothers preference at public sector tertiary care hospital in Karachi, Pakistan. Abstract Background: Maternal mental health status is a key determinant of fetomaternal well-being, childhood growth, and development. Yet, in many developing country settings, especially with the poor doctor–patient ratio, depression often underdiagnosed during routine antenatal care (ANC) clinic visits. Aims Objectives: The aim to determine predictors depression, among pregnant women attending ANC tertiary hospital using Beck’s inventory (BDI). Materials Methods: A cross-sectional study design was employed, while systematic random sampling method used recruit attendees at teaching hospital. BDI assess subjects, via interviewer-administration pretested questionnaire following ethical approval. Factors associated were assessed Chi-square, Fisher’s exact, independent t -test, P value set 0.05. Results: prevalence clinical found be 13.2%. Lower level education, earlier gestation period, grandmultiparity factors significantly ( < 0.05). Conclusion: significant proportion have suboptimal status, unmet needs that potentially worsen as pregnancy progresses. Depression during pregnancy has a significant impact on public health as it can adversely affect both the mother's and child's health.
