Background This systematic review with meta-analysis was carried out to study the relationship between workplace violence and sleep problems. Methods The PRISMA statement used conduct a search of literature on PubMed/MEDLINE, Scopus, Sociological abstract, DOAJ, Web Science Google Scholar databases. Of original number 749 studies, 34 were included in 7 meta-analysis. Results A total 119,361 participants from fifteen different countries took part these studies which published 1999 2019. Significant heterogeneity observed among (I2 = 96%). In random-effects model, pooled odds ratio (OR) analysis revealed that there direct occupational exposure problems (OR 2.55; 95% CI: 1.77–3.66). According GRADE guidelines, quality evidence association low. Conclusions findings this demonstrate physical, verbal or sexual is associated Further research needed so appropriate measures can be taken prevent improve hygiene workplace. Despite the increasing awareness of importance sleep, number people suffering from insufficient sleep has increased every year. The gold-standard assessment uses polysomnography (PSG) with various sensors to identify patterns and disorders. However, due high cost PSG limited availability, many disorders are left undiagnosed. Recent wearable electronics enable portable, continuous monitoring at home, overcoming limitations PSG. This report reviews advances in sensors, miniaturized electronics, system packaging for home monitoring. New devices available market systems collectively summarized based on their overall structure, form factor, materials, method. It is expected that this review provides a comprehensive view newly developed technologies broad insights portable toward advanced as well at-home assessment.

Healthy sleep is essential for physical and mental health, social wellbeing; however, across the globe, particularly in developing countries, national public health agendas rarely consider health. Sleep should be promoted as an pillar of equivalent to nutrition activity. To improve a focus on education awareness, research, targeted policies are needed. We recommend educational programmes awareness campaigns; increasing, standardising, centralising data quantity quality every country globe; implementing sectors society. Efforts needed ensure equity inclusivity all people, those who most socially economically vulnerable, historically excluded.

Although many people suffer from sleep disorders, most are undiagnosed, leading to impairments in health. The existing polysomnography method is not easily accessible; it's costly, burdensome patients, and requires specialized facilities personnel. Here, we report an at-home portable system that includes wireless sensors wearable electronics with embedded machine learning. We also show its application for assessing quality detecting apnea multiple patients. Unlike the conventional using numerous bulky sensors, soft, all-integrated platform offers natural wherever user prefers. In a clinical study, face-mounted patches detect brain, eye, muscle signals comparable performance polysomnography. When comparing healthy controls can obstructive accuracy of 88.5%. Furthermore, deep learning automated scoring, demonstrating portability, point-of-care usability. At-home could ensure promising future supporting monitoring home healthcare.

Brain health is essential for health, well-being, productivity and creativity across the entire life. Its definition goes beyond absence of disease embracing all cognitive, emotional, behavioural social functions which are necessary to cope with life situations. The European Academy Neurology (EAN) Health Strategy responds high increasing burden neurological disorders. It aims develop a non-disease-, non-age-centred holistic positive approach ('one brain, one life, approach') prevent disorders (e.g., Alzheimer's other dementias, stroke, epilepsy, headache/migraine, Parkinson's disease, multiple sclerosis, sleep disorders, brain cancer) but also preserve promote recovery after damage. The pillars EAN (1) contribute global international (together national subspecialty societies, medical World Organization, Federation Neurology, patients' organizations, industry stakeholders); (2) support 47 healthcare policymakers in implementation integrated people-centred campaigns; (3) foster research on prevention determinants assessments health); (4) education students, neurologists, general practitioners, specialists professionals, patients, caregivers public; (5) raise public awareness health.By adopting this 'one approach' strategy cooperation partner organizations policymakers, significant number may be prevented whilst overall well-being individuals enhanced by maintaining through course.

This study aimed to investigate the association between physical activity, sedentary behaviour and chronic inflammation in short sleep adults. The included 2,113 NHANES participants with self-reported insufficient sleep. C-reactive protein (CRP) was used as inflammatory biomarker. Physical activity were objectively measured by accelerometers. Weighted regression model, two – piecewise linear restricted cubic splines applied evaluate associations mentioned above. An isotemporal substitution model assess modelled effects of replacing time (ST) moderate-to-vigorous levels (MVPA) or light (LPA). After adjusting for potential confounding factors, higher ST lower LPA MVPA associated CRP levels. Isotemporal analysis indicated that 30 minutes a significant decrease Saturation suggested may plateau at over 20 per day. Findings this provides insight into benefits MVPA. also suggests increasing beyond certain point not provide additional anti-inflammatory population.

Abstract Study Objectives Multisensor wearable consumer devices allowing the collection of multiple data sources, such as heart rate and motion, for evaluation sleep in home environment, are increasingly ubiquitous. However, validity assessment has not been directly compared to alternatives wrist actigraphy or polysomnography (PSG). Methods Eight participants each completed four nights a laboratory, equipped with PSG several devices. Registered polysomnographic technologist-scored served ground truth sleep–wake state.
