The small-scale sub-sector continues to be a fundamental catalyst for job creation and economic growth in Ghana. The Covid-19 pandemic that began to spread at the beginning of 2020 has greatly affected economy, including firms’ financial conditions. In this respect, micro, small, and medium enterprises (MSMEs) likely experience greater negative effects than large firms due their limited resources. Abstract South Africa is at present experiencing electricity shortages resulting in loadshedding. Loadshedding the action from an supplier (Eskom) of rolling power cuts that intend to lessen load on supply system when Eskom not able a high demand. remains one country's most critical challenges and has affected day-to-day business activities leading some small businesses closing their operations. In developing economies, play significant role wellbeing rural dwellers are major tool for local economic development. At present, there limited evidence literature pointing out medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) Collins Chabane Local Municipality (CCLM) terms effects loadshedding but describing similar issues other geographical areas. The exploration SMEs was crucial empower SMEs, cover scholarly gaps, contribute policy development, participate academic discourse. study uses mixed-methods approach, adopting triangulation research design. sample consisted 125 members target population, which included SME owners/managers officials such as Economic Development (LED) manager, Electricity technician. selected using purposive, snowball non-probability sampling, cluster probability sampling. Research on Micro Small Medium Enterprises (MSME) has always been an exciting area of study because its crucial role; however, it turns out that MSMEs have many problems. Abstract This study aims to investigate the socioeconomic determinant factors that affect growth of micro and small enterprises (MSEs) in North Wollo Waghimira Zone selected towns. In this study, a cross-sectional research design with both descriptive explanatory has been employed, 303 owners have participated. The towns were purposely, respondents also by using simple random sampling technique. data analyzed STATA v-14 applied binary logistic regression analysis (odds ratio). finding revealed age owner, access finance, family business background, interest rate most likely statistically significant level.
