Sorption properties of cellular carbon foam at water surface purification from petroleum products

The dependence of the sorption capacity cellular carbon foam during removal oily contaminants from water surface was investigated. It shown that this material has an open-cell structure, low bulk density and in water. This is characterized by high oil capacity, 5 to 20.6 grams oil/ sorbent, depending on fractional composition. buoyancy with sorbed products lasts more than 30 days.
