Abstract An efficient synthesis of a variety 3‐difluoroalkyl quinoxalin‐2(1 H )‐ones via photoredox‐catalyzed three‐component reaction between )‐ones, vinylarenes, with inexpensive and easily accessible difluoromethyltriphenyl phosphonium bromide salt as the difluoromethylated reagent is described. This protocol shows excellent reactivity, providing wide range difluoroalkyl‐substituted in moderate to yields under mild conditions. A difluoroalkyl radical intermediate was involved this transformation.

Abstract A strategy for the synthesis of diverse protected α‐monofluoro‐γ‐amino acid derivatives has been developed. This reaction assembles a simple enamide, quinoxalin‐2(1 H )‐one, and diethyl 2‐bromo‐2‐fluoromalonate through three‐component driven by visible light. The advantages this protocol include simplicity its operation, mild conditions, high functional group tolerance, applicability to wide variety substrates. fluorine‐containing amino derivative significant value potential applications in medicinal chemistry chemical biology.

In this mini-review, we present our concepts for designing multicomponent reactions with reference to a series of sequential radical that have developed. Radical are well suited the design due their high functional group tolerance and low solvent sensitivity. We focused on photolysis interelement compounds heteroatom–heteroatom single bond, which readily generates heteroatom-centered radicals, studied photoinduced addition unsaturated compounds. First, background is described, basic methodology construction explained. Next, examples involving two one compound presented, as Furthermore, intramolecular cyclization processes described.
