Abstract
Background
and
Aim:
Acute
allergic
contact
dermatitis
is
an
inflammatory
skin
condition
characterized
by
swollen,
itchy
lesions.
This
study
aimed
to
evaluate
the
soothing
wound-healing
effects
of
fixed
volatile
oils
Boswellia
sarca,
as
well
extracts
Glycyrrhiza
glabra
Acacia
nilotica,
on
acute
in
rats.
Materials
Methods:
Phytochemical
analysis
revealed
presence
flavonoids,
tannins,
saponins,
triterpenoids,
alkaloids,
cardiac
glycosides
nilotica
and,
extracts,
with
sarca
showing
a
dominance
oils.
The
included
normal
group
six
groups
induced
subcutaneous
histamine
injection.
One
served
positive
control
without
treatment,
while
five
were
treated
topically
at
inflamed
sites
oils,
glabra,
alongside
betamethasone
standard
treatment.

LC-MS/MS
highlighted
diverse
secondary
metabolites
including
polyphenolic
acids,
amino
showcasing
their
therapeutic
potential.
All
topical
treatments
reduced
ICAM-1
LTB4
varying
degrees
exhibited
better
results
compared
untreated
group.
Among
treatments,
Boswellia
demonstrated
most
effective
curative
dermatitis.
Conclusion:
