Abstract
This
study
investigated
the
executive
functions
(EF)
of
preschool
children
and
their
associations
with
emotional,
linguistic,
cognitive
skills,
using
parent
teacher
reports.
A
total
130
aged
34
to
71
months
participated.
The
version
Behavior
Rating
Inventory
Executive
Function
(BRIEF-P)
was
completed
by
both
parents
teachers
assess
behavioral
difficulties
in
use
EFs,
while
were
administered
Test
Emotion
Comprehension
(TEC),
Language
Evaluation
(TVL),
Coloured
Progressive
Matrices
(CPM).
Statistical
analyses
revealed
significant
differences
between
parents’
teachers’
reports,
attributing
more
EF
than
parents.
Children’s
negatively
associated
emotion
comprehension,
language
ability,
non-verbal
intelligence,
although
correlations
stronger
when

indirect

preschoolers’

Previous
research
consistently
reported
that
subjects
were
exclusively
breastfed
(eBF)
vs.
not-exclusively
(neBF)
during
infancy
(0-6
months)
showed
increased
scores
of
general
intelligence
measures
(e.g.,

quotient).

literature
largely
neglected
whether
breastfeeding
also
affects
specific
cognitive
processes,
such
as
attention
and
working
memory
(WM)
capacity.

tested
eBF

performance
differences
in
relation
to
these
two
core
functions.

Network
Test
(ANT),

capacity,

participants

according
age

18-year-old
