Farm typologies help to identify patterns across a wide range of farm systems and describe heterogeneity in agriculture concisely. They can also support the design agricultural policies by providing information knowledge about policy target groups. For example, voluntary agri-environmental schemes could be tailored specific landscapes types. typologies, however, are often developed from scratch, with limited connection previous studies making. The objective this study is clarify purposes research making develop framework that allows increase usefulness usability for Based on review 13 systematically identified overview we establishes connections between along different stages process. We find multiple two most common which understanding characteristics, heterogeneity, development newly suggests connecting these improve validity, transferability, relevance Our provides an entry point encouraging cooperation developers users improvement through new data (including behavioural data) methods such as machine learning. conclude future build existing work but must aware challenges associated use Knowledge prospects using usabilityof contribute targeted instruments. Abstract The Nature Restoration Law adopted by the European Union in 2024 aims to implement measures restore at least 20% of its land and sea 2030 all ecosystems need restoration 2050, focusing on among others agricultural land, forests, urban, marine, freshwater, wetlands areas. goal is enhance natural semi-natural habitats’ role achieving climate targets preserving biodiversity. Member States must submit detailed national plans, outlining specific actions mechanisms for monitoring progress. However, these plans should align with ongoing Common Agricultural Policy National Energy Climate Plans objectives. Using data from Commission reports applying a semantic interval scale methodology, this study quantifies each State’s ambitions effectiveness under establishes benchmark reporting Law. findings reveal Plans’ wide disparities implementing decarbonization measures, change adaptation implementation nature-based solutions. exhibit only partial commitment greening agriculture, yet their alignment objectives varies. Therefore, timely coordination between three strategies crucial avoid conflicting goals, overlapping efforts, wasting time resources, ensuring success actions.

Abstract Agri‐food policies are in the midst of far‐reaching transitions, including transformation towards sustainable production and food consumption. The European Green Deal Farm to Fork Strategy prioritize safety animal welfare issues, aiming transform systems more sustainability. Despite existing EU legislation, little is known about how agri‐food implemented across member states. Our analysis addresses this gap by examining conditions that shape requirements 16 states two policy areas: farm welfare. Through our qualitative comparative (QCA), we identify distinct pathways differentiated implementation both sectors, with a shared emphasis on political engagement, green party influence, public advocacy, while also highlighting domain‐specific governance dynamics. Understanding variations demands among crucial gaps, assess effectiveness, promote harmonization within EU.

This study highlights the extensive use of and full reliance on nonrenewable sources like fossil base fuels results in availability shortage, increased economy, depletion carbon sink, CO2 emission high, environmental pollution, drastic change climate mismanagement waste. To overcome this problem, renewable resources together with nuclear advanced approaches resulted fewer are used to decarbonize GHG/CO2 emissions, storage technology lower pricing achieve net-zero sustainability environment. The proposed policies their implementation occurrence at national international levels also carbon-free production enhanced consistency. On environmentally friendly policies, problem could be solved by global contribution government, stakeholders, public sectors, engagement policy coherence integration towards making implementing via for achieving emissions.

This study examines the impact of European Union’s Common Agricultural Policy (CAP) funds, specifically Fund for Rural Development (FEADR) and Guarantee (FEGA), on a range economic, social, environmental outcomes across regions. Utilizing Fully Modified Ordinary Least Squares (FMOLS) estimators, this research analyses 13 equations corresponding to various dependent variables, including employment rates, poverty levels, agricultural productivity, indicators such as greenhouse gas emissions renewable energy production from agriculture. analysis covers period 2010 2021, draws upon balanced sample 301 observations ensure robust estimations. Results indicate that both FEADR FEGA payments significantly influence these regional outcomes, though effects vary depending specific economic or indicator examined. The findings reveal while positively rural employment, income, production, they are less effective in addressing reduction productivity enhancement. Conversely, exhibit stronger but have mixed sustainability. highlights significant disparities, suggesting allocation CAP funds is uneven its implications policymakers clear: more tailored approach required enhance effectiveness meeting diverse needs, particularly promoting development minimizing harm. also emphasizes need further explore alternative policy mechanisms innovative practices can bridge gaps identified current framework. We investigate the dynamic effect of external conflict risk on environmental transition by considering impacts eco-innovation, economic growth, and energy consumption in a panel comprising 26 European countries from 2011 to 2020.Using non-parametric model represented QARDL, we find that short run, 1% increase statistically leads 0.25% 0.13% likelihood for median extreme upper quantiles (50th 95th percentiles), respectively. However, same holds little importance when lower quantile (5th percentile). The indicated substantially decreases long reaching zero across different quantiles. We also note discrepancies impact various levels. For instance, population is significant 5th 90th quintiles.Overall, our findings suggest enhancing eco-innovation helps reduce risk. The results are relevant development policies provide valuable insights officials, technology stakeholders, policymakers their attempts strengthen resilience during an transition.
