Image-guided tumor ablation eliminates cells by physical or chemical stimulation, which shows less invasive and more precise in local treatment. Tumor provides a treatment option for medically inoperable patients. Currently, clinical techniques are widely used practice, including cryoablation, radiofrequency (RFA), microwave (MWA). Previous studies indicated that activated immune responses besides killing directly, such as short-term anti-tumor response, immunosuppression reduction, specific non-specific enhancement, the reduction disappearance of distant foci. However, transiently induced response. The combination immunotherapy is expected to achieve better therapeutic results application. In this paper, we provided summary principle, application status, effects technologies Moreover, discussed different with proposed possible solutions challenges encountered combined therapy. It hoped provide new idea reference combinate immunotherapy.

Although conventional computed tomography (cCT) is the mainstream guidance equipment for lung microwave ablation (MWA), C-arm CT can provide 3-dimensional (3D) CT-like images reconstructed from 2-dimensional (2D) digital subtraction angiography (DSA) information within 8 seconds, highlighting its utility as a new tool. This retrospective case-control study was performed to evaluate clinical performance of percutaneous MWA tumors using cCT and guidance. From April 2015 2020, 101 consecutive patients with solitary who underwent at our single center (Zhengzhou, China) were divided into 2 groups: group (n=56), unarmed puncture, (n=45), iGuide navigation-assisted puncture. The primary endpoints technical success, efficacy, puncture scoring (PS), complete (CA) rate. secondary complications, median progression-free survival (mPFS), overall (mOS).The success rates 100% in both group. efficacies 93.3% 91.1% group, respectively, no statistical difference (P=0.67). PS (2.9 vs. 2.5, P=0.02), total procedure time (TPT; 39.3 50.0 min, P<0.001), (PT; 12.6 15.7 P=0.001), irradiation effective dose (ED; 15.2 20.9 mSV, P<0.001) showed significances between those (AT; 9.1 9.6 P=0.36), CA rate (93.3% 92.9%, P=0.93), local tumor progression (LTP) (11.1% 8.9%, P=0.98), mPFS (9.5 10.1 months, P=0.52), mOS (37.9 38.8 P=0.67) statistically significant groups.C-arm feasible MWA, which increase decrease TPT.

Lung tumor is the first malignant with highest mortality, but only no more than one-third of patients can be treated by surgical resection. Microwave ablation (MWA) has become a new adjuvant therapeutic mean for lung tumors because its low trauma, short treatment time, large volume and wide application range. However, parameters MWA, such as input power still depend on doctors’ experience, which leads to ineffectiveness MWA. Therefore, accurate modeling temperature distribution MWA significant technical problem solved. Recent research was devoted personalized characterization parameters, finite element analysis in effect evaluation. In this paper, review recently obtained results data will presented discussed.

Abstract Microwave thermal ablation is an established therapeutic technique for treating malignant tissue in various organs. Its success greatly depends on the knowledge of dielectric properties targeted and how they change during treatment. Innovation lung navigation has recently increased clinical interest transbronchial microwave treatment cancer. However, not largely characterized, thus its investigation prior post key. In this work, ex-vivo ovine parenchyma untreated ablated at 2.45 GHz were recorded 0.5–8 frequency range. The measured fitted to 2-pole Cole–Cole relaxation model obtained parameters compared. Based observed changes parameters, physical post-ablation discussed validated through histology analysis. Additionally, investigate link achieved results with rate heating, another two sets samples, originating from both porcine tissues, heated a oven different times powers.
