Spectral computed tomography (CT) imaging as a novel technique shows promising prospects in the accurate diagnosis of various diseases. However, clinically iodinated contrast agents suffer from poor signal-to-noise ratio, and emerging heavy-metal-based CT arouse great biosafety concern. Herein, we show fabrication rhenium sulfide (ReS2) nanoparticles, clinic radiotherapy sensitizer, biosafe spectral agent for gastrointestinal tract tumor theranostics vivo by teaching old drugs new tricks. The ReS2 nanoparticles were fabricated one-pot facile method at room temperature, exhibited sub-10 nm size, favorable monodispersity, admirable aqueous solubility, strong X-ray attenuation capability. More importantly, proposed possess an outstanding ability undoubted therapeutic agent. Besides, appealing photothermal performance due to their intense near-infrared absorption. nano-agent not only guarantees obvious enhancement vivo, but also allows effective imaging-guided therapy. "teaching tricks" strategy shortens time cuts cost required clinical application nano-agents based on existing toxicology testing trial results, lays down low-cost, time-saving, energy-saving development multifunctional toward applications.

Effective charge separation and rapid transport of photogenerated carriers without self-oxidation in transition metal dichalcogenide photocatalysts are required for highly efficient stable hydrogen generation. Here, we report that a molecular junction as an electron transfer path toward two-dimensional rhenium disulfide (2D ReS2) nanosheets from zero-dimensional titanium dioxide (0D TiO2) nanoparticles induces high efficiency stability solar generation by balanced carriers. The junctions created through the chemical bonds between functionalized ReS2 (e.g., -COOH groups) -OH groups two-phase TiO2 (i.e., ReS2-C6H5C(═O)-O-TiO2 denoted ReS2-BzO-TiO2). This enhances energy at conduction band minimum ReS2-BzO-TiO2, leading to efficiently improved reduction. Through (a Z-scheme path) recombination charges photocatalyst restrained, resulting photocatalytic activity (9.5 mmol h-1 per gram nanosheets, 4750-fold enhancement compared bulk with cycling more than 20 h. Our results provide effective TMDs preventing self-oxidation, increases durability rate
