Noncommunicable diseases such as cardiovascular disease, obesity, diabetes, and cancer now outnumber all other health ailments in humans globally due to abrupt changes lifestyle following the industrial revolution. The revolution has also intensified livestock farming, resulting an increased demand for productivity stressed animals. industry faces significant challenges from a projected sharp increase global food high animal protein demand. Nutrition genomics holds great promise future its advances have opened up whole new world of disease understanding prevention. Nutrigenomics is study interactions between genes diet. It investigates molecular relationships nutrients identify how even minor modifications could potentially alter human health/performance by using techniques like proteomics, transcriptomics, metabolomics, lipidomics. Dietary mostly studied focus mainly on production traits through protein, fat, mineral, vitamin supplementation changes. meticulously selects fine-tuning expression that match animal/human genotypes better health, productivity, environment. As step forward, nutrigenomics integrates nutrition, biology, genomics, bioinformatics, medicine, epidemiology understand role epigenetic factor occurrence these diseases. This review aims provide comprehensive overview fundamental concepts, latest advances, studies field nutrigenomics, emphasizing interaction diet with gene expression, it relates along human-animal interphase.

Providing young monogastric animals with the essential amino acids they need is challenging in organic feeding. The nutrient content of feeds varies widely, and additives are restricted, so feed rations must be formulated based on analysis. A survey 56 pig poultry farmers Germany was carried out to investigate their attitudes towards ration planning examine evaluate feeding management farms. Principal component analysis used characterise different attitudes. Cluster revealed three groups: Farmers Group 1 (n = 28) were uncertain about requirements animals. They accepted importance need-based for health performance, but did not recognise regular adjustments animals’ ability compensate deficiencies. In 2 11), most important farmers, who more likely have professional systems. 3 17), least believe that would lower demand when undersupplied. Although recognised, adjustment little this group. Across all farms, 60% examined deviated significantly from recommendations. It concluded guidance perhaps pressure fulfil responsibility provide nutrients need.

Thirty 'Duroc × Landrace Yorkshire' 28-day-old piglets (male) with an initial body weight 8.29 ± 0.76 kg were randomly divided into 3 treatment groups 10 replicates per 1 pig replicate. Abstract Phosphate‐rich struvite (MgNH 4 PO ·6H 2 O) can be reclaimed from wastewater as a fertilizer material to help provide clean water and sustainable food production. The objective of this study was evaluate the leaching characteristics wastewater‐recovered electrochemically precipitated (ECST) compared other common fertilizer‐P sources in soils Arkansas (AR loam silt loam), Missouri (MO 1 2), Nebraska (NE sandy loam). A bench‐scale, soil‐column experiment conducted using five (i.e., ECST, chemically [CPST], monoammonium phosphate [MAP], triple superphosphate [TSP], an unamended control [UC]) leached six times over 15 weeks after application. Leachate‐P concentration changes UC differed among soil–fertilizer combinations time ( p < 0.05) but only AR‐loam, where TSP (2.0–6.6 mg L −1 ) consistently had larger leachate‐P change than ECST (−0.04 3.1 1–3. Leachate‐NO 3 ‐N occurred week 1, three NO increases >10.7 their respective UC. Though inconsistent across various evaluated, P‐leaching losses relative treatments were often MAP CPST. Results showed that P, NH ‐N, Ca, Mg, Fe potentials depending on initial soil pH texture source; thus, source should considered minimize potential nutrient losses.

Selenium is a trace mineral that participates in the body's homeostasis as an antioxidant by forming selenoproteins. In aquaculture, supplementation with this influences zootechnical parameters and blood biochemistry while strengthening immune system. This work aimed to evaluate effect of organic selenium on physiological males catfish Sorubim cuspicaudus. Male breeders S. cuspicaudus (n=56) average weight length 485.6 g 39.3 cm, respectively, were distributed 6.5 m3 pools four treatments triplicate. The fish fed diets enriched Se: 0.07 (control), 1.57, 2.07, 2.57 mg Se/kg diet for 14 weeks. Length, weight, condition factor, survival recorded. samples transaminases cortisol measured.
