Recently, it has been reported that a gene (PEN1) in Arabidopsis thaliana is highly resistant to Plutella xylostella. We screened all the homologous genes of PEN1 and found motif these was very conserved. At present, few insect resistance have identified characterized Brassica napus. Therefore, we containing this napus genome systematically analyzed basic information, conserved domain, evolutionary relationship, chromosomal localization expression analysis genes. In study, 12 were genome, which more than number thaliana. These are unevenly distributed on chromosomes Furthermore, contained light responsiveness elements, most gibberellin-responsive meJA-responsive elements abscisic-acid-responsive elements. The results will provide theoretical basis for screening from analyzing molecular mechanism

Abstract BACKGROUND Oilseed rape (OSR, Brassica napus ) faces substantial yield losses in Europe due to the cabbage stem flea beetle (CSFB, Psylliodes chrysocephala ). Synthetic insecticide use is constrained by resistance and environmental concerns, necessitating innovative pest control strategies. Understanding CSFB host plant selection, particularly through volatile organic compounds (VOCs), essential for developing sustainable efficient methods. This study investigated olfactory response of their pre‐aestivation stage VOCs. RESULTS Olfactometer bioassays showed that female were attracted VOCs from mechanically damaged OSR plants (BBCH 10 BBCH 14), while undamaged elicited no response. Damaged seedlings Sinapis alba rapa not attractive. When testing individual isothiocyanates, again only a positive olfactometer bioassays, was found two green leaf volatiles. CONCLUSION research provides insights into behavior and, our knowledge, first show behavioral responses adult towards volatiles tests. Interestingly, females responded VOCs, suggesting sexual dimorphism sensitivity during this life stage. These findings may help lay groundwork further studies aimed at improving management strategies cultivation. © 2025 The Author(s). AbstractResynthesized rapeseed lines (2n = 4x 38, AACC), which recreate the historical hybridization between progenitor species Brassica rapa 2x 20, AA) and B. oleracea 18, CC) to produce napus have been an important research subject for many years. Cultivation of oilseed rape Brassica napus is pesticide-intensive, and alternative plant protection strategies are needed because both pesticide resistance legislation narrow the range effective chemical pesticides. The entomopathogenic fungus Beauveria bassiana used as a biocontrol agent against various insect pests, but little known about its endophytic potential role in for rape. First, we studied whether B. can establish an endophyte rape, following seed inoculation. To evaluate on next examined ability to induce metabolite biosynthesis. In another experiment, tested effect inoculation seedling survival semi-field experiment.

This research aimed determine occurrence of dimethachlor and metabolites (dimethachlor ethanesulfonic acid ESA oxalamic OA) surface using a recently developed analytical method. article one first document metabolites’ presence samples. The samples were collected from Danube river Tisza river. quantitative determination obtained extracts was done by high-performance liquid chromatography. Descriptive statistical methods, including correlation analysis, cluster principal component analyses, utilized analyze method validation experimental results. In addition, artificial neural network (ANN) model applied as optimization tool. ANN adequately predicted observed variables, suggesting optimum results at pH value 7, spike 1, injection volume equal 0.5 μL. average concentrations River 1.51 µg/L OA 0.01 ESA, 0.63 DMC, while chloroacetanilide herbicides detected 1.43 OA, 0.08 1.82 DMC.

The 12 personality indices of quality, yield, resistance comprehensively evaluated by variability, correlation, principal component, cluster analyses. results variability showed that except oleic acid, lowest coefficient variation was oil content, which 0.06. Correlation analysis content positively correlated with main traits such yield per plant could be early screening germplasm. component indicators integrated into four components, cumulative contribution rate 62.487%. value comprehensive 'F' first, second, fourth components negatively third component. Cluster divided categories consisting 9 (30%), 6 (20%), 7 (23%), 8 (27%) germplasms, each characteristics "high disease resistance", yield", protein", "more stability". Chemical control of insect pests in oilseed rape (OSR) is becoming increasingly difficult due to the development resistance and restrictive insecticide approvals Europe. At same time, there a lack preventive alternative measures. Crop rotation mostly fails insects their mobility; however, changing regional cropping densities can dilute or concentrate pest pressure. In this study, we investigated whether local occurrence Psylliodes chrysocephala Delia radicum, serious winter OSR, influenced by distance from previous year's OSR fields how changes density at scale (up 10 km radius) affect
