Public satisfaction is an important indicator of the success environmental policies and management practices. China’s sponge city development (SCD) initiative was launched in 2014 has received international attention for its technical advancements achievements. satisfaction, however, not been fully investigated cities transformed by SCD. This study uses public surveys structural equation modeling to evaluate people’s with SCD four pilot cities, how familiarity SCD, perceived benefits, concerns about adverse effects, trust government influence levels. The results show that people were, on average, slightly satisfied Familiarity, were significant determinants satisfaction. Urban green infrastructure has been widely used to in cities solve stormwater problems caused by extreme weather events and urbanization around the world. However, lack of a long-term funding mechanism for performing urban infrastructure’s functions limited wider implementation. Factors influencing citizen attitudes willingness pay vary from city city. Global climate change has precipitated a surge in urban flooding challenges, prompting the imperative role of green infrastructure (GI) as linchpin sponge city construction to enhance sustainability and resilience. But evaluation stormwater resilience faces challenges due lack comprehensive framework taking intrinsic features system into account insufficient coverage alternative scenarios’ performance under multiple rainfall return periods. This study, focusing on Fengxi New City, China, evaluates suitability GI (i.e., roofs, rain gardens, permeable pavements) constructs management model (SWMM) for hydrological simulation. study also establishes uses quantitative methods unify performances scenarios different Our analytical findings elucidate that is predominantly concentrated northern western areas area, with smallest suitable area observed pavements.
