Radish is a cross-pollinated crop and honey bees are essential for its pollination. In the present investigation, diversity abundance of insect pollinators additionally their visitation rate frequency were also studied during 2019 2020. The foraging observations noted at 08:00–10:00 hours (early morning activity), 10:00-12:00 (late 12:00-14:00 (noon 14:00-16:00 (afternoon activity). results revealed that nine species bees, five flies, three butterflies, wasps visited flowers radish study period. Apis florea, mellifera, dorsata dominant pollinator with 132-201, 110-130, 90-115 individuals, respectively duration. maximum activity was observed 14:00 hrs followed by 12:00 whereas minimum recorded in early 08:00. floral visitors varied greatly, A. florea (14.50-15.80 visits/flower/5 min) being most frequent, mellifera (9.80-11.00 (8.30–9.40 both seasons. Similarly, had statistically higher (26.93–27.40 visited/min) (15.93–16.00 (12.62-15.13 visited/min). findings suggested may be efficient pollinators. Therefore, on commercial scale, these can effectively used to increase yields.

Abstract Protein digestibility is a key indicator of dietary protein quality because the amino acids present in food may not be available to an organism for nutrition and health unless they are digested. In spite being good source protein, Soybean seed has limited mainly their whole form. this paper, we highlight factors that affect soybean proteins like quantity, structure, distribution kinetically stable plus anti-nutritional compounds seeds. Furthermore, such as coat thickness composition, cellular integrity, hydration can also impact soybeans. It was found wet thermal treatments cooking along with operations fermentation, grinding germination have more favourable effect on hydrolysis than dry-heat roasting. Also, all processing ability reduce anti-nutritive varying degrees, ensuring safety increased soybean. The current review exhibits potential methods facilitating mechanical disintegration Hence, insights gained from used understand mechanism by which various enhance findings indicate necessity carefully adjust conditions preserve nutritional quality, components safe levels, optimize both palatability

Huanglongbing (HLB) is a devastating bacterial disease caused by the bacterium Candidatus Liberibacter asiaticus (CaLas) that affects citrus industry worldwide. This study investigated response of two pummelo x finger lime hybrid siblings to natural infection with CaLas. The hybrids were identified primarily using leaf morphology and molecular marker assessments selected for further studies on basis CaLas titers in petioles. HLB-infected budwood from (PFL 2-61 PFL 1-11), as well parental plants, propagated grafting onto Swingle citrumelo rootstocks evaluation. Plant samples collected years after analysis. Leaves PFL2-61 exhibited decreased compared those 1-11. Additionally, we recorded increased chlorophyll content, total phenolic content (TPC), flavonoid (TFC), antioxidant activity 1-11 parents. We subsequently conducted detailed investigation these transcriptome Among 20,675 differentially expressed genes (DEGs) identified, 1,416 downregulated 1-11, whereas 326 upregulated. Transcriptome analysis revealed many DEGs associated cell wall structure, redox homeostasis, biotic stress responses. Moreover, key related biosynthesis secondary metabolites phytohormones, including PAL1, jasmonate-related genes, WRKY transcription factors, upregulated tolerant 2-61). In contrast, three transcripts Sieve Element Occlusion N-Terminus (SEO_N) domain Our findings provide valuable insights into mechanisms tolerance susceptibility HLB derived hybrids, highlighting potential this species towards developing disease-tolerant varieties.

Insect pest management is a global economic and ecological concern, due to the risks people environment posed by injudicious application of synthetic pesticide chemicals. To address issue insect resistance, it crucial identify new powerful insecticides.Since botanicals are said be less harmful human health than chemical pesticides, they have long been promoted as appealing substitutes for agrochemicals.Commercial usage pyrethrum neem well established, pesticides based on plant essential oils entered market rotenone seems declining.A plethora compounds investigated use antifeedants, repellents toxicants, however apart from some naturally occurring repellents, that alter arthropod behaviour only had limited commercial success.Several studies shown compatibility synergism with entomopathogens. The success appears hindered range variables, chief among them being regulatory obstacles availability substitute products (newer synthetics fermentation products) more affordable generally risk-free their forerunners.Botanicals offer residue-free food safe while also considerably safer natural enemies insects. Thus, multiple mode actions useful protect crops under organic agriculture. In order reduce detrimental effects conventional botanical can employed alternative or complementary tools in integrated achieve better results sustainable way.

Abstract BACKGROUND The fall armyworm (FAW, Spodoptera frugiperda (J.E. Smith)) is a polyphagous agricultural pest with rapidly evolving adaptations to host plants. We found the oral secretion (OS) of FAW from different plants influences plant defense response differentially, suggesting its role in adapting However, protein expression profile OS respond largely unknown. RESULTS Here, mass spectrometry assay, we identified total 256 proteins fed on cotton ( Gossypium hirsutum L.), tobacco Nicotiana benthamiana Domin), maize Zea mays L.) and artificial diet. primarily comprise 60 proteases, 32 esterases 92 non‐enzymatic proteins. It displays high plasticity across diets. that more than half are lipases which have been reported as insect elicitors enhance response. lipase accumulation cotton‐fed larvae was highest, followed by maize‐fed larvae. In presence inhibitors, enhanced induction genes wounded leaves attenuated. putative effectors were most highly accumulated compared those other one them (VRLP4) reduces OS‐mediated leaves. CONCLUSION Together, our investigation presents proteomic landscape influenced diets reveals diet‐mediated involved adaptation © 2024 Society Chemical Industry.

Cowpea is known for its high protein content (18-25%) and also chiefly raised green fodder. The infesting pests, pod borer aphids are the most destructive ones. To control these chlorantraniliprole emerges as a promising molecule. Thus, needs to assess dissipation nature of chlorantraniliprole. Hence, trial was conducted at IIVR, Varanasi, India. residue analysis done through solid phase extraction method followed by gas chromatoghraphy analysis. analytical standardized validated according international standard. half-life in cowpea pods estimated range 2.79- 2.33 days year-I 2.51-2.32 year-II single dose (SD) double (DD) respectively. Similarly, leaves 2.43-2.27 whereas, 1.94-1.70 case soil. exposure residues were less than maximum permissible intake (MPI). RQ values revealed that there could be negligible risk earthworms arthropods. Washing with boiling water found effective decontamination treatment remove from pods. it concluded does not pose any significant threat when uses particular dose.

Pest can cause damage agricultural crops vector diseases humans livestock. often exposed toxic xenobiotics in environment, both naturally occurring toxins like plant secondary metabolites synthetic chemicals herbicides, fungicides, insecticides. Because this, insects have evolved several mechanisms resistance xenobiotics, including sequestration, behavioral avoidance, enzymatic degradation, many cases had developed symbiotic relationships microbes that aid this detoxification.
