The relationship between functional capacity and disability status in individuals with Multiple Sclerosis (MS) is well established. However, to date, the interference of lower limb strength this classic correlation has not been studied. Therefore, study aimed investigate mediating role muscle variables, including maximum (MVIC) explosive (RFD), status, measured by Expanded Disability Status Scale (EDSS), test outcomes a MS sample. A total 49 patients performed 4 tests: timed up-and-go (TUG), sit-to-stand (STS), 10-meter walk (10MWT), 6-minute (6MWT), as measurement MVIC RFD. statistical mediation analysis was conducted examine influence on EDSS capacity. Regarding MVIC, effect 6MWT (indirect = 48%, p .013), 10MWT 18.1%, .015) TUG 27.2%, .003) decreased. RFD late (0-200), 34.8% .0048), 18.0%, .021) 25.0%, .014) variables play significant

Traditional methods for evaluating postoperative human motion in orthopedics suffer from high equipment costs, time-consuming detection processes, and can only provide static two-dimensional image information. To improve the efficiency accuracy of assessment orthopedics, this study proposes an improved algorithm on basis kinematic constraints inertial measurement units orthopedics. Compared with other methods, average error standard deviation measuring joint range after orthopedic surgery based were smallest. The wrist 1.23° 1.63°, respectively. highest. 4s 98%, calculating Angle is also better than traditional algorithms. method has applicability, which effectively monitoring reduce support personalized management intervention, further providing reference optimization

Healthy lifestyle behaviour modification may improve health outcomes in people with multiple sclerosis (pwMS), but empirical evidence is needed to confirm prior study findings. We developed an online multimodal intervention (Multiple Sclerosis Online Course) examine the impact of on pwMS via a randomized control trial (RCT). However, present specifically analyses baseline data assess engagement healthy lifestyles by RCT participants and cross-sectional associations outcomes.

Background: Regular physical activity plays a crucial role in modulating cellular metabolism and mitigating the progression of neurodegenerative diseases such as Alzheimer’s, Parkinson’s, Multiple Sclerosis. Objective: The objective this review is to evaluate molecular mechanisms by which exercise influences metabolism, with focus on its potential therapeutic intervention for neurological disorders. Methods: A comprehensive literature was conducted using peer-reviewed scientific articles, period between 2015 2024, analyze effects mitochondrial function, oxidative stress, metabolic health. Results: findings indicate that promotes biogenesis, enhances phosphorylation, reduces reactive oxygen species, contributing improved energy production resilience. These adaptations are associated delayed disease reduced symptoms patients conditions. Additionally, integrating nutritional strategies may further enhance outcomes addressing disturbances comprehensively. Conclusions: This concludes personalized protocols should be developed optimize benefits diseases, while future research biomarker development individualized treatment approaches. highlight importance non-pharmacological interventions managing diseases.

This study aimed to evaluate the effects of PNF on pain, motor function, fatigue, and quality life in MS patients. A randomized, controlled, single-blind was conducted. Forty-four patients were randomly assigned either Group (PNFG, n = 22, 16 female) or Control (CG, female). PNFG underwent supervised combined aerobic training thrice weekly for 8 weeks, while CG followed a home exercise regimen. Various measures employed, including Visual Analogue Scale (VAS) Timed Up Go (TUG) test, Functional Reach Test (FRT), Six-Minute Walk (6-MWT), Fatigue Severity (FSS), Impact (FIS), Dexterity Questionnaire-24 (DextQ-24) Multiple Sclerosis Quality Life-54 (MSQoL-54). exhibited significant improvements VAS (p 0.000), FRT 0.001), TUG 6-MWT FIS 0.007), DextQ-24 0.033), MSQoL-54 scores (Physical Health Composite, Mental p 0.005, 0.002, respectively) < 0.05). also showed 0.018), FSS 0.006), psychosocial function 0.017, 0.001, respectively), ADL 0.045) outperformed (Dressing, 0.038) subscales (emotional well-being, energy, health perception, 0.007, 0.037, 0.044, is first randomized controlled trial show that improves upper limb (skill) physiotherapy effectively improved fatigue life, with group achieving better outcomes.
