Abstract Neurodegenerative diseases (NDDs) cause a progressive loss of neurons. Since NDDs are multifactorial, the precise etiology varies on basis type disease and patient history. Cohort studies case have demonstrated potential link between viral infections onset or progression NDDs. Recent findings concerning mechanisms by which neuropathic occur provided more insights into importance such connections. In this review, we aim to elaborate occurrence effects viruses from epidemiological, clinical, biological perspectives while highlighting treatments challenges. One key players in neuropathogenesis is neuroinflammation caused immune response virus; can due both neurotropic nonneurotropic viruses. The COVID-19 pandemic has raised concerns about whether vaccines essential for preventing may play part exacerbating accelerating By classifying common associated with them further delving their cellular pathways, review provides advance development diagnostic methods. Influenza is a common respiratory infection affecting persons of all ages and results in significant morbidity mortality. Respiratory complications are well known, but important nonpulmonary less recognized. Neurologic following influenza may accompany the acute illness or be chronic nature. The such as seizures, encephalitis, myelitis Guillain Barre Syndrome documented fortunately uncommon. However, stroke dementia leading causes death disability worldwide, there increasing evidence linking these devasting illnesses with influenza. In addition, vaccine has been associated protective effects against risk.

Parkinson's disease is a common mental in the world, especially middle-aged and elderly groups. Today, clinical diagnosis main diagnostic method of disease, but results are not ideal, early stage disease. In this paper, auxiliary algorithm based on hyperparameter optimization deep learning proposed for diagnosis. The system uses ResNet50 to achieve feature extraction classification, mainly including speech signal processing part, improvement part Artificial Bee Colony (ABC) optimizing hyperparameters part. improved called Gbest Dimension (GDABC), proposing "Range pruning strategy" which aims at narrowing scope search "Dimension adjustment adjust gbest dimension by dimension. accuracy verification set Mobile Device Voice Recordings King's College London (MDVR-CKL) dataset can reach more than 96%. Parkinson's disease (PD) is a chronic, age-related, progressive multisystem associated with neuroinflammation and immune dysfunction. This review discusses the methodological approaches used to study changes in central peripheral immunity PD, advantages limitations of techniques, their applicability humans. Abstract Neurodegenerative diseases (NDs) constitute a group of disorders characterized by the progressive deterioration nervous system functionality. Currently, precise etiological factors responsible for NDs remain incompletely elucidated, although it is probable that combination aging, genetic predisposition, and environmental stressors participate in this process. Accumulating evidence indicates viral infections, especially neurotropic viruses, can contribute to onset progression NDs. In review, emerging supporting association between infection summarized, how autophagy pathway mediated cause pathological aggregation cellular proteins associated with various discussed. Furthermore, autophagy‐related genes (ARGs) involved Herpes simplex virus (HSV‐1) are analyzed, whether these could link HSV‐1 Elucidating mechanisms underlying critical developing targeted therapeutic approaches prevent slow

Severe acute respiratory syndrome coronavirus-2 (SARS-CoV-2), which causes coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19), has been discussed in the context of Parkinson’s (PD) over last three years. Now that we are entering long-term phase this pandemic, intrigued to look back and see how why community patients with PD was impacted what knowledge have collected so far. The relationship between COVID-19 is likely multifactorial nature. Similar other systemic infections, a probable worsening symptoms secondary COVID-19, either transient or persistent (long COVID), demonstrated, while COVID-19-related mortality may be increased compared general population. These observations could attributed direct indirect damage from SARS-CoV-2 central nervous system (CNS) result infection-related parameters (e.g., hospitalization drugs) sequelae pandemic quarantine). A growing number cases new-onset parkinsonism following infection reported, closely (post-infectious) remotely (para-infectious) after diagnosis, although such link remains hypothetical. pathophysiological substrate these phenomena elusive; however, research studies, particularly pathology suggested various COVID-19-induced degenerative changes potential associations PD/parkinsonism. We review literature date for answers considering PD/parkinsonism, examining pathophysiology, clinical manifestations, vaccination, future directions.

Host-virus Protein–Protein Interactions (PPIs) play pivotal roles in biological processes crucial for viral pathogenesis and by extension, inform antiviral drug discovery therapeutics innovations. Despite efforts to develop the Epstein–Barr virus (EBV)-host PPI network, there remain significant knowledge gaps a limited number of interacting human proteins deciphered. Furthermore, understanding dynamics EBV-host network distinct lytic latent stages remains elusive. In this study, we report comprehensive map EBV–human protein interactions, encompassing 1752 61 EBV integrating data from public repository HPIDB (v3.0) as well curated high-throughput proteomic literature. To address stage-specific nature infection, generated two detailed subset networks representing stages, comprising 747 481 proteins, respectively. Functional pathway enrichment analysis these subsets uncovered profound impact on cancer. The identification highly connected characterization intrinsically disordered cancer-related provide valuable insights into potential therapeutic targets. Moreover, exploration drug–protein interactions revealed notable associations between hub anticancer drugs, offering novel perspectives controlling pathogenesis. This study represents, best our knowledge, first investigation infection using datasets. makes contribution EBV–host provides foundation future interventions.
