Background . Copper ions are necessary for maintaining basic physiological processes in the mammalian organism. However, their excessive absorption or accumulation cells can lead to development exacerbation of various pathological processes. The cytotoxic and genotoxic effects high concentrations copper compounds currently well studied cell cultures, whereas effect non-toxic amounts on cells, including during cultivation, has been extremely poorly studied. aim study To investigate changes intracellular amount mitochondrial cytochrome C oxidase glutathione synthetase. Materials methods A primary culture hepatocytes was obtained, which exposed acetate at a concentration 200 µg/ml terms content 24 hours. After fixation, samples were stained immunocytochemically using antibodies (CcO) subunit I synthetase (GS). Results In hepatocyte culture, significant increase intensity fluorescent staining two analyzed enzymes demonstrated both after 6 hours exposure ions, indicates change number cells. At same time, CcO more intense first incubation with microelement, next 18 hours, less pronounced. GS stain active observed throughout entire cultivation period. Conclusion From results it be concluded that able influence key indicators viability by changing one main energy metabolism enzyme provides synthesis most important low-molecular antioxidant glutathione.

Oxidative damage resulting from weaning stress significantly impacts the growth performance and health status of piglets. Taurine, a dietary antioxidant with diverse functions, was investigated in this study for its protective role against stress-induced oxidative underlying mechanism. Forty 28-day-old male castrated weaned piglets were randomly assigned to four groups. The control group received basal diet, while experimental groups fed diet supplemented 0.1, 0.2%, or 0.3% taurine over 28-day period.

Oxidative stress is an important contributor to degenerative diseases in the elderly. Pumpkin known for its potent antioxidant properties. The present study evaluated effects of two types instant pumpkin soups on capacity and oxidative This used a quasi-experimental design compare soups: soup supplemented with chicken breast (IPB) prepared original recipe (IPO). Plasma antioxidants [superoxide dismutase (SOD), glutathione peroxidase, catalase] markers [malondialdehyde (MDA), oxidized low-density lipoprotein (ox-LDL), 8-isoprostane, tumor necrosis factor-α (TNF-α), 8-hydroxy-2'-deoxyguanosine (8-OHdG)] were analyzed using enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay. results showed that IPB had higher protein (13.40% vs. 2.20%), fiber (13.9% 9.21%), β-carotene (6.28 mg/100 g 3.38 g), vitamin A (96.63 µg/100 81.82 ash contents (5.68% 3.00%) than IPO. Both demonstrated activity, showing greater significantly increased plasma SOD (432.63±396.03 pg/mL; P=0.011), but not IPO (127.30±364.69 P=0.326). reduced ox-LDL, TNF-α, 8-OHdG levels. Compared IPO, decreased MDA levels (P<0.05). Reductions ox-LDL (-555.03±155.86 -83.09±66.45 P<0.001) TNF-α (-58.24±22.85 -30.59±18.08 ng/mL; P=0.012) group group. These findings suggest may serve as functional food reducing damage

Citrus is a globally consumed fruit with great popularity, yet systematic analyses of primary metabolites across major varieties remain scarce, phenolic acids as an auxiliary focus due to their flavor relevance. In this study, the and five citrus were analyzed via liquid chromatography‒tandem mass spectrometry (LC–MS/MS). The analysis revealed that different contained 342 77 acids. PCA clearly distinguished various varieties. Compared pomelo group, lemon group presented most differentially abundant metabolites, whereas kumquat navel orange groups fewest. An examination metabolic pathways notable disparities phenylpropanoid biosynthesis amino significantly varied between This study elucidates networks underlying diversification, providing secondary modulation insights. Moreover, provides theoretical foundation for enhancing fruits.

Acute cerebral infarction (CI) is characterized by acute onset, high disability rate, and morbidity which seriously threatens the health safety of people places a heavy burden on individuals country. This study aimed to explore effects butylphthalide nerve cell ferroptosis in CI rats its underlying mechanisms. Middle artery occlusion (MCAO) rat model was used effect vivo oxygen glucose deprivation (OGD) vitro . Our findings demonstrated that markedly reduced oxidative damage brains MCAO rats. Furthermore, we found upregulated netrin-1/deleted colorectal cancer (DCC)/vascular endothelial growth factor (VEGF) signaling axis, regulates NF-E2-related factor-2 (NRF2) expression contributes OGD-treated HT22 cells. Collectively, our indicate inhibits stress-mediated cells modulating netrin-1/DCC/VEGF/NRF2 axis. In conclusion, results reveal novel mechanism for protection CIs butylphthalide.
