Abstract Over a billion people in developing countries do not have access to clean water. Industries such as textiles, tanneries, and plastics release wastewater with toxic dyes that require treatment remove the color. Adsorption coagulation are known methods for removing from wastewater. The production of natural adsorbents coagulants involves use waste agricultural products, which makes them cost-effective environmentally friendly. They can be modified achieve high dye removal rate. Natural more eco-friendly than synthetic materials activated carbon alum, because they similar levels efficiency while being biodegradable reusable. combination two help reduce required dosage adsorbent coagulant simultaneously improve rate removal. purpose this review is evaluate contrast efficacy recent coagulants, friendly abundant nature. Additionally, it aims introduce novelty by reviewing combined coagulation/flocculation adsorption systems process dyes, utilizing derived wastes. The elimination of dyes discharged from industrial wastewater into water bodies is crucial due to its detrimental effects on aquatic organisms and potential carcinogenic impact human health. Various methods are employed for dye removal, but they often fall short in completely degrading the generating large amounts suspended solids. Hence, there a critical need an efficient process that can achieve complete degradation with minimal waste emission. In the present research, magnetic rhamnolipid-Co/Al layered double hydroxide (MR-LDH) was synthesized to uptake methylene blue (MB) and reactive orange 16 (RO16) from aqueous solution. The main parameters, including pH, adsorbent dosage, contact time, initial analyte concentration, were optimized achieve best adsorption efficiency. Accordingly, elimination of MB on MR-LDH is improved in basic medium due electrostatic interactions between negative charge positive dye. contrast, acidic (pH = 3) favored for RO16 because hydrogen bonding protonated form azo dye hydroxyl groups at surface MR-LDH. calculated maximum capacities 54.01 53.04 mg/g 313 K, respectively. Langmuir model, which assumes monolayer surface, provides explanation both dyes (R2 0.9991 R2 0.9969 RO16). Moreover, pseudo-second-order kinetic model described process 0.9970) 0.9941). proposed maintains stable performance four consecutive cycles. After each process, easily separated by an external magnet. findings show that found be excellent removal cationic anionic organic solutions.
