The number of people suffering from overweight or obesity has been steadily increasing in recent years. As a new form diet, the efficacy time-restricted eating (TRE) remains debatable. This meta-analysis quantified effect TRE on weight change and other physical parameters obese adults. We did systematic review randomized controlled trials (RCTs) comparing interventions loss metabolic by searching PubMed, Embase, Cochrane Central Register Controlled Trials to identify eligible published database inception up until 23 August 2022. risk bias was assessed using Revised risk-of-bias tool (ROB-2.0). Meta-analysis performed Review Manager 5.4.1 software.Nine RCTs with 665 individuals (345 group while 320 control group) were included. Results indicated that had greater decrease body (-1.28 kg; 95% CI [-2.05, -0.52], p = 0.001), fat mass (-0.72 [-1.40, -0.03], 0.04), index (-0.34 kg/m2; [-0.64, -0.04], 0.03) diastolic blood pressure (-2.26 mmHg [-4.02, -0.50], 0.01). However, demonstrated there no significant difference between lean mass, systolic pressure, waist circumference, fasting glucose, insulin, homeostasis model assessment-insulin resistance (HOMA-IR), total cholesterol, high-density lipoprotein, low-density triglycerides. Besides, duration study daily window also an impact change.TRE associated reductions can be dietary intervention option for adults obesity. But high-quality longer follow-ups are needed draw definitive conclusions.

Obesity and breast cancer are two major health issues that could be categorized as sincere threats to human health. In the last few decades, relationship between obesity has been well established extensively investigated. There is strong evidence overweight increase risk of postmenopausal cancer, adipokines central players in this relationship. Produced secreted predominantly by white adipose tissue, adiponectin a bioactive molecule exhibits numerous protective effects considered guardian angel adipokine. obesity–cancer relationship, more shows may prevent protect individuals from developing cancer. Abstract The effect of time-restricted eating (TRE) has been summarized in previous studies, but its benefits combination with calorie restriction (CR) still need to be determined. present meta-analysis aimed evaluate the efficacy TRE CR on weight loss and cardiometabolic risk. PubMed, Embase, Cochrane Library, gray literature databases were searched from inception October 18, 2022, for potential randomized controlled trial (RCT) studies based predefined inclusion exclusion criteria. Body other risk factors described as weighted mean difference (WMD) a 95% confidence interval (CI). Eight RCTs involving 579 participants enrolled analysis. pooled results showed that reduced body weight, fat mass, waist circumference significantly (WMD: −1.40, CI: −1.81 −1.00, I 2 : 0%; WMD: −0.73, −1.39 −0.07, −1.87, −3.47 −0.26, 67.25%, respectively). However, compared alone, plus exhibited no significant benefit blood pressure, glucose profile, lipid profile. Subgroup analysis suggested early is more effective −1.42, −1.84 −1.01, 0%) improving mass −1.06, −1.91 −0.22, than delayed or broader when combined CR. Although can effectively decrease circumference, long-term effects, particularly those chronic cardiovascular disease diabetes, remain explored.

Accumulating evidence has suggested an oncogenic effect of diurnal disruption on cancer progression. To test whether targeting circadian rhythm by dietary strategy suppressed lung progression, we adopted 6-h time-restricted feeding (TRF) paradigm to elucidate and how TRF impacts progression. This study used multiple cell lines, two xenograft mouse models, a chemical-treated model. Stable TIM-knockdown TIM-overexpressing A549 cells were constructed. Cancer behaviors in vitro determined colony formation, EdU proliferation, wound healing, transwell migration, flow cytometer, CCK8 assays. Immunofluorescence, pathology examinations, targeted metabolomics also tumor tissues. mCherry-GFP-LC3 plasmid was detect autophagic flux.We found for the first time that compared normal ad libitum feeding, inhibited progression reprogrammed rhythms metabolites or genes involved glycolysis tumors. After intervention, only timeless (TIM) gene among five cancer-associated clock consistently align Further, demonstrated anti-tumor upon partially mediated rhythmic downregulation TIM subsequent activation autophagy. Combining with inhibition further enhanced effect, comparable treatment efficacy chemotherapy model.Six-hour inhibits reshapes metabolism, which is upregulation

Abstract Background Lifestyle choices, such as dietary patterns and sleep duration, significantly impact the health of digestive system may influence risk mortality from cancer. Methods This study aimed to examine associations between habits, cancers. The analysis included 406,584 participants UK Biobank cohort (54.1% women; age range: 38–73 years), with duration classified short (≤ 6 h, 24.2%), normal (7–8 68.4%), long (≥ 9 7.4%). Healthy eating habits were defined a daily intake at least 25 g fibre, seven portions fruits vegetables, fewer than four servings meat per week. These factors combined into score ranging 0 (least healthy) 3 (healthiest). Cox proportional hazards regression analyses conducted, median follow-up period 12.6 years, ending on September 30, 2021. Results 3949 died cancer system. Both associated an increased (1.09 (1.01–1.18) 1.14 (1.03–1.27), respectively). Additionally, diet ≥ 1 was linked lower (0.72–0.91 (0.59–0.96)). Adjusting for smoking, type 2 diabetes, body mass index (BMI) status eliminated association mortality. healthy did not vary by duration. Conclusions Aberrant durations increase cancer, potentially through higher BMI, diabetes. However, aberrant do seem reduce protective effects pattern.

Time-restricted eating (TRE) has gained attention as an effective approach for weight management and overall well-being by focusing on limiting the window, rather than reducing calories. This study explores biopsychosocial impacts of TRE in free-living individuals using a qualitative design. Twenty-one adults (aged 27–60 years) from Western Australia who had practised at least three months were purposively recruited, semi-structured interviews conducted. The data analysed thematic analysis to identify key themes. participants reported range benefits, including loss, reduced joint pain, better digestion, improved mental clarity, increased energy, more positive body image. Socially, facilitated simplified daily routines but also introduced challenges, such disruptions social interactions family meal dynamics. Some mixed negative reported, changes sleep exercise patterns. These findings highlight TRE’s potential holistic dietary intervention. Further research, particularly well-controlled, randomised controlled trials longitudinal studies, is needed confirm these insights guide their appropriate application clinical public health settings.
