Intimate
partner
violence

health
problem

levels.
Over
the
years,
literature
has
shown
that
most

During
the
COVID-19
pandemic,
stay-at-home
restrictions
significantly
changed
people’s
daily
lives
around
world.
Opportunity

strain
theories
predict

abuse

applies
alternative
theoretical
framework—situational
action
theory
(SAT)—to
explain

findings

Abstract
Purpose
Intimate
partner
violence
(IPV)
is
a
public
health
issue
and
human
rights
violation.
Recent
studies
have
revealed
that
most
IPV
bidirectional
rather
than
unidirectional,
which
can
result
in
serious
consequences
for
those
involved.
However,
the
impact
of
(BV)
on
parenting,
more
specifically
parent-child
relationship,
understudied.
Thus,
this
study
aims
to
understand
BV
relationship
analyze
differences
perceptions
about
quality
between
parents

unidirectional
IPV,
without
IPV.
Methods
The
sample
comprised
138
participants

sexes,

18
years

children.

Abstract
Several

unidirectional
IPV.

BV

Portugal
