Three prominent health challenges affecting our society include cancer, diabetes, and antibiotic-resistant infections. Despite the availability of conventional drugs for these conditions, pervasive problem multidrug resistance significantly diminishes their effectiveness. Consequently, it is paramount to prioritize development novel drug compounds endowed with improved desirable therapeutic properties. Utilizing metal-based has proven be an effective strategy in realm anticancer treatment this approach holds significant promise enhanced multi-resistant infections diabetes. Schiff bases, being bioactive organic compounds, have attracted considerable attention. Researchers been actively exploring potential applications metallo-based including heterocyclic molecules and/or aromatic rings adorned diverse functional groups across various illnesses. This review catalogs (2010 2023) classification base that incorporate groups, which possess antimicrobial, antidiabetic, qualities. These insights can assist medical chemist identifying suitable candidates developing innovative pharmaceuticals.

Resorcinol based carbonyl precursors such as 4, 6-Diacetylresorcinol, 2, 4-dihydroxy- acetophenone and 4-dihydroxybenzaldehyde were used for the synthesis of different Schiff bases mainly through conventional method synthesis. The reviewed synthesized by condensation reactions between either these resorcinol carbonyls primary amines o-aminophenol, o-phenylenediamine, oxalyldihydrazine,1,8-naphthalenediamine,4-methyl-2-amino phenol, hydrazine monohydrate isatin, 2-amino-4-methylthiazole,4-halo aniline, aminated silica gel, amine derived from hydrate, carbon disulfide benzyl chloride, ethanolamine, 3-hydrazino-5,6-diphenyl-1,2,4-triazine, p-phenylene diamine, semicarbazide hydrochloride, chitosan,α-naphthylamine, paraaminophenol, 4-aminoantipyrine 3,3-Dimethoxybenzidine benzoylhydrazide. These formed complexes reacting with first row transition metal ions. structures their elucidated infrared, UV–visible, nuclear magnetic resonance, mass spectroscopies elemental analysis. also characterized ESR spectroscopy, conductance & susceptibility measurement thermogravimetric base ligands screened activities including biological, catalytic chemosensor activities. This review incorporates progresses that have been observed 2007 2021 on synthesis, characterization application studies complexes.

The present study aimed to analyze the antifungal, antioxidant, and irritant potential of citronella oil, both isolated combined with caffeic acid phenethyl ester (CAPE), for topical oral candidiasis. antioxidant was evaluated using two methods, DPPH test reducing power (FRAP), while solutions assessed through hen’s egg chorioallantoic membrane (HET-CAM). (IC50) values CITRO III + CAPE combination were 32 ± 9 mg/mL, CAPE, 13 3 mg/mL. results from FRAP method revealed a low iron-reducing 1.25 mg/mL 0.0775 (CITRO III), showing no significant difference compared solution 0.15 CAPE. antibacterial activity in vitro against microorganisms methods: microdilution biofilm assay. showed that MIC MFC 0.5 at tested times (24 h 48 h). For 0.031 assay, compounds combinations 1 min 6 significantly different controls (p < 0.05). Furthermore, HET-CAM demonstrated absence irritability. Based on these premises, antifungal actions, irritability proven. Moreover, this work presents natural interest pharmaceutical industry.
