Global climate policy commitments are encouraging the development of EU energy policies aimed at paving way for cleaner systems. There is a need for major greenhouse gas emission reductions from heating in order to meet global decarbonisation goals. This paper qualitatively evaluates the application of blockchain technology for three energy efficiency use cases. To achieve Sustainable Development Agenda, improvements have to double by 2030.
