Nonalcoholic fatty liver disease (NAFLD) has become the most common chronic worldwide, whereas there is no approved drug therapy for it due to its complexity. Studies are emerging discuss role of selective autophagy in pathogenesis NAFLD, because specificity among features makes a crucial process mitigating hepatocyte damage caused by aberrant accumulation dysfunctional organelles, which other pathway can compensate. Review This review aims summarize types, functions, and dynamics that particular importance initiation progression NAFLD. And on this basis, outlined therapeutic strategies against medications potential natural products modulate disease. Key Scientific Concepts The critical roles lipophagy mitophagy NAFLD well established, while reticulophagy pexophagy still being identified insufficient understanding their molecular details. As gradual blockage autophagic flux reveals complexity studies unraveling underlying mechanisms have made possible successfully treat with multiple pharmacological compounds target associated pathways. Overall, convinced continued research into occurring will further enhance uncover novel targets.

Summary Background The metabolically‐based liver disease, nonalcoholic fatty disease (NAFLD), is the most common cause of chronic currently affecting 38% world's adult population. NAFLD can be progressive leading to steatohepatitis (NASH), transplantation, cancer, liver‐related mortality and associated with decreased quality life from impaired physical functioning increased healthcare resource utilisation. However, screening for cost‐prohibitive but high risk (NAFLD F2 fibrosis or greater) imperative. Aim To review global perspective on NASH Methods We retrieved articles PubMed using search terms NAFLD, prevalence, clinical burden, economic burden management strategies. Results NAFLD/NASH shows geographical variation across globe. Highest prevalence rates are in South America Middle East North Africa; lowest Africa. NAFLD's impact direct indirect medical costs loss worker productivity. It projected that, over next two decades, total cost diabetes will exceed $1.5 trillion (USD). Risk stratification algorithms identifying “high NAFLD” were made following non‐invasive tests identification development. These should used primary care endocrinology settings so timely appropriate interventions (lifestyle cardiometabolic factor management) initiated. Conclusions reduce burgeoning NAFLD/NASH, include accurate patients, linkage settings, initiation effective treatment regimens.

Physical activity is integral to metabolic health, particularly in addressing insulin resistance and related disorders such as type 2 diabetes mellitus (T2DM). Studies consistently demonstrate a strong association between physical levels sensitivity. Regular exercise interventions were shown significantly improve glycemic control, highlighting recommended therapeutic strategy for reducing resistance. inactivity closely linked islet cell insufficiency, exacerbating through various pathways including ER stress, mitochondrial dysfunction, oxidative inflammation. Conversely, training preserve restore function, enhancing peripheral Exercise stimulate β-cell proliferation increased circulating of growth factors, further emphasizing its role maintaining pancreatic health glucose metabolism. Furthermore, sedentary lifestyles contribute elevated stress ceramide production, impairing signaling induces anti-inflammatory responses, enhances antioxidant defenses, promotes thereby improving sensitivity efficiency. Encouraging individuals adopt active engage regular crucial preventing managing disorders, ultimately promoting overall well-being.

This review provides a practical and comprehensive overview of non-pharmacological interventions for metabolic-associated fatty liver disease (MASLD), focusing on dietary exercise strategies. It highlights the effectiveness coffee consumption, intermittent fasting, Mediterranean ketogenic diets in improving metabolic health. The emphasizes importance combining aerobic resistance training as critical approach to reducing fat increasing insulin sensitivity. Additionally, it discusses synergy between diet enhancing parameters role gut microbiota MASLD. paper underscores need holistic, individualized approach, integrating diet, exercise, health, patient motivation. also long-term benefits minimal risks lifestyle compared side effects pharmacological surgical options. calls personalized treatment strategies, continuous education, further research optimize therapeutic outcomes MASLD management.
