Abstract: The current study examined the association between adolescents’ social goal orientations (i. e., what they want to achieve or avoid in interactions with their peers) and externalizing prosocial behaviors as well associations parenting styles. Adolescents parents completed questionnaires. Based on a path model data of 354 adolescents ( M age = 14.11) 121 from Germany, we found that (1) parental warmth had direct effect agentic goals desire for authority, power, appearing confident), (2) coercion communal affiliation closeness), (3) prosocial, rule-breaking, aggressive behavior, (4) behavior. In discussion, reflect how theoretical practical significance can guide future research.

Abstract The current state of research on the emergence and maintenance somatoform symptoms in childhood identifies influence both child parental factors. aim present study is to examine reciprocal relations stability between complaints, children’s adaptive emotion regulation (ER) strategies, withdrawal behavior, overprotective parenting. In total, 97 children (female n = 46, (47%); M age T1 9.7 years ( SD ) 0.54) their parents completed questionnaires at two time points. A cross-lagged panel design was used analyze associations effects included variables over one year (Kearney, 2017; Selig & Little, 2012). Results show significant autoregressive individual variables. Parental overprotection predicted regulation, complaints time; with no effects. Similarly, only unilateral were shown ER behaviors, symptoms. results are discussed framework learning theory secondary gain.
