In today's corporate landscape, optimizing performance has emerged as a formidable challenge for organizations, often hindered by barriers and psychological factors. Abstract Mental health issues are becoming increasingly common among college students, but not all students follow the same developmental trends of mental health. The parent‒child relationship is a crucial factor in promoting adolescent mental health. However, the current evidence on between relationships and conscientiousness neuroticism, as well directionality of these relationships, remains limited. In particular, there lack analysis focusing Chinese middle school students. Based sample 8437 students from China Education Panel Survey (CEPS) database, this study empirically examined bidirectional neuroticism among students, with specific emphasis significant role development neuroticism. However, less is known about bidirectional relationship traits among adolescents, leading to an insufficient understanding of directional nature their relationship. ABSTRACT Depression, in recent decades, has shown a clear trend to occur at younger age, emerging as prevalent mental health concern among primary school children. According family system theory and social‐ecological principles, parent individual factors, distal are able influence the depression of child through proximal factor parent–child dyadic interaction. Within this integrated framework, study aimed utilize principle actor–partner independence model investigate indirect pathway from paternal maternal positive/negative emotional expressiveness children's via father–child mother–child closeness/conflict.
