Abstract Abdominal wall defects are common clinical diseases, and mesh repair is the standard treatment method. The most commonly used polypropylene (PP) in practice has advantages of good mechanical properties, stable performance, effective tissue integration effect. However, direct contact between abdominal viscera PP can lead to severe adhesions. To prevent this, development a hydrogel‐PP composite with anti‐adhesive properties may be an measure. Herein, biofunctional hydrogel loaded rosmarinic acid developed by modifying chitosan Pluronic F127, which possesses suitable physical chemical commendable vitro biocompatibility.
