Abstract Diaporthe is an important plant pathogenic genus, which also occurs as endophytes and saprobes. Many species that are morphologically similar proved to be genetically distinct. The current understanding of taxonomy by applying morphological characters, host associations multi-gene phylogeny problematic leading overestimation/underestimation numbers this significant fungal genus. Currently, there no definite boundaries for the accepted species. In Huafo Mountain, Mouding, Yunnan Province, China, we found black protrusions on the leaf surface of Quercus plants. The collection which identified as Acrocalymmachuxiongense sp. nov., a new species Acrocalymmaceae (Pleosporales) is characterised by dome-shaped ascomata, bitunicate asci with pedicel furcate and an ocular chamber hyaline, obovoid to ellipsoid, 1-septate ascospores.Morphologically, this typical larger ascospores than other known in Acrocalymma. The taxonomy of Colletotrichum has undergone profound changes over the past decade, with ca.340 species now recognised, and grouped into 20 complexes (16 previously described four proposed in this work).Over that period, volatility taxonomic framework posed difficulties to aetiology anthracnose diseases along uncertainty on cross-infection potential, quarantine rules, pesticide management plant breeding strategies.Now is stabilising (still several new being named, but no longer representing major pathogens), there a point reviewing knowledge global way, pointing out relative importance each for host/crop identifying areas/crops where information missing (and are crops which nothing known regarding modern terms).Based 3400 host species-Colletotrichum occurrence records (considering only spp.identified terms), we have listed 760 (plants) analysed available reported from them, symptoms caused geographic distribution pathological relevance.Whereas some these hosts wild plants, work mostly focused cultivated plants therefore globally.In context fungi, compilation provides downstream users Mycology, namely those areas such as Plant Pathology, Protection Breeding, updated main causal agents crop/plant location, or alternatively an alert lack identity relevant given crop location.

Diaporthe is a large and taxonomically complex genus, with over thousand epithets listed in Index Fungorum.The placement of many species remains confusing, there lack consensus on their taxonomy phylogeny.In this study, we provide annotated notes accepted or presumed up to 2023.Our cover 832 include information morphology, ecology, geographic distribution, molecular data, pathogenicity, where available.Diaporthe cyatheae comb.nov., D. pseudobauhiniae nom.nov., xishuangbannaensis krabiensis sp.nov., pseudobiguttulata nom.nov.are introduced paper.In addition, list 331 that were previously classified as but are no longer members the genus.Our comprehensive review provides resource for researchers taxonomists, enabling accurate identification classification, enhancing our understanding ecological roles these fungi.
