Plants interact with a diversity of microorganisms that influence their growth and resilience, they can therefore be considered as ecological entities, namely "plant holobionts," rather than singular organisms. In plant holobiont, the assembly above- belowground microbiota is ruled by host, microbial, environmental factors. Upon microorganism perception, plants activate immune signaling resulting in secretion factors modulate composition. Additionally, metabolic interdependencies antagonism between microbes are driving forces for community assemblies. We argue complex plant-microbe intermicrobial interactions have been selected during evolution may promote survival fitness associated holobionts. As part this process, evolved metabolite-mediated strategies to selectively recruit beneficial microbiota. Some these members show host-adaptation, from which mutualism rapidly arise. also co-evolved antagonistic activities restrict proliferation high pathogenic potential prevent disease development. Co-evolution within holobionts thus ultimately drives performance.

As possible biocontrol agents against soil-borne infections, root endophytic fungi, also known as fungal endophytes, have gained attention. Recently, it has been discovered that endophytes and fungi found in plant roots are promising for diseases. These can shield plants from the harm knots rot pathogens cause. They display characteristics crucial long-term disease control agriculture, such generation of systemic resistance, production antifungal metabolites, stimulation development. This review examines different types, underlying mechanisms, relationships with pathogens. Using agricultural systems requires standardized selection, application, evaluation approaches. Fungal shown promise preventing spread diseases, reducing need chemical pesticides, increasing crop yields. other could improve pathogen management viability food production. Supporting ecologically friendly methods accelerating sustainable agriculture be accomplished use these helpful fungi. However, further study is required to explore entophytic dramatically practices provide more eco-friendly agriculture.

The health of soil is paramount for sustaining life, as it hosts diverse communities microorganisms that interact with plants, influencing their growth, health, and resilience. Beneficial microorganisms, including fungi bacteria, form symbiotic relationships providing essential nutrients, promoting enhancing stress tolerance. These such mycorrhizal plant growth-promoting play crucial roles in nutrient cycling, productivity. Additionally, they help lessen reliance on chemical fertilizers, thereby mitigating the environmental risks associated use. Advances agricultural practices harness potential these beneficial to improve crop yields while minimizing impact. However, challenges competition indigenous microbial strains factors limit universal utilization inoculants. Despite challenges, understanding leveraging interactions between plants hold promise sustainable agriculture enhanced food security.

Stem blight is a significant disease affecting blueberries worldwide, caused by various pathogens. This study investigated stem in Ji’an, Jilin Province, China. Fungi isolated from diseased stems were identified as Colletotrichum temperatum, Curvularia austriaca, and Diaporthe unshiuensis based on morphological characters multi-locus phylogenetic analyses using the internal transcribed spacer (ITS) region, glyceraldehyde 3-phosphate dehydrogenase (gapdh), chitin synthase (chs), actin (act), β-tubulin (tub2), translation elongation factor 1-alpha (tef1-α), calmodulin (cal), histone 3 (his3) regions. Pathogenicity test was conducted detached green blueberry shoots, all shoots inoculated mycelium plugs presented necrotic lesions with dark brown margins, while control (PDA plugs) group did not show any symptoms. Koch’s postulates confirmed re-isolating pathogen The provides three new host–pathogen records of fungi associated blight.
