Both participants compared ED, activity variables, as well dimensions. A cluster analysis was performed group determine distinct subgroups explore involvement dimensions comparison between non-FAD demonstrated more severe higher level impulsivity, anxiety, depression drinking motives lower self-esteem engaged behaviors non-engaged students. identified four clusters: asceticism subgroup, damage control emotional subgroup recreational subgroup. Overall, results reveal that should not be considered unitary behavior but rather complex pattern involving profiles.

Abstract Purpose Food and Alcohol Disturbance (FAD) is characterized by the combination of problematic alcohol use eating disorder symptoms to offset caloric intake associated with drinking and/or enhance intoxication. The Compensatory Eating Behaviors in Response Consumption Scale (CEBRACS) a proven tool for measuring FAD, validated English Italian populations but never French population. present study aims at validating version CEBRACS representative sample university students determine its validity reliability. Methods 2267 completed measures disorders, consumption exercise. Results An exploratory factor analysis revealed 4-factor structure: enhancement effects alcohol, dietary restraint exercise, purging vomiting extreme fasting. internal consistency these subscales ranged from good excellent. Correlations between exercise concurrent validity. No gender differences were found scores. Participants total score > 21 points higher risk developing disorders alcohol-related problems. Conclusions These findings highlight reliability CEBRACS. distinct factors identified allow distinguish participants different motives engaging FAD behaviour thus prevent future development disorders. seems be relevant scale capture behaviors negative deleterious consequences.
