Human resilience to COVID-19 related stressors remains a pressing concern following the aftereffects of pandemic and in face probable future pandemics. In response, we systematically scoped available literature (n = 2030 records) determine nature extent research on emerging adults' adaptive responses early stages pandemic. Using multisystem framework, our narrative review 48 eligible studies unpacks personal, relational, institutional and/or physical ecological resources that enabled positive adult outcomes COVID-18 stressors. We found there is geographical bias this topic, with majority world contexts poorly represented. Resources leading foregrounded psychological social support, while supports were seldom mentioned. Multisystemic combinations rarely considered. This knowledge has valuable implications for understanding context other large-scale adverse conditions.

A cross-sectional online survey was administered to from California State University, Los Angeles between April May 2021 (final analytic sample n = 736). Differences in gender race/ethnicity were examined using chi-square, t-test, one-way ANOVA tests. Paired t-tests performed compare variables before Negative binomial regression models associations various stressors, three key outcomes. Descriptive results showed that consumption fruits vegetables, fast food, sugary beverages, along with all increased Significant differences fruit vegetable food by also observed. Abstract Purpose The COVID-19 pandemic has been a psychological burden worldwide, especially for individuals with eating disorders (EDs). In addition, the healthy sisters of patients EDs are known to present specific vulnerabilities. This study evaluates differences between general population, EDs, and their sisters. Method A group 233 participants (91 57 85 community women) was enrolled in an online survey on psychopathology 1 year after beginning pandemic. examined associations posttraumatic symptoms depression, anxiety, obsessive–compulsiveness, interpersonal sensitivity, eating-related concerns. Results Clinically relevant scores were found EDs. Healthy scored similarly avoidance. Regression analysis showed sensitivity symptomatology sisters, but not women. Conclusion is clinically linked global symptom severity. Differences patients, women discussed regarding vulnerability factors Level evidence III: obtained from well-designed cohort or case–control analytic studies.

The COVID-19 pandemic has had a profound impact on the mental health, adjustment, and psychological well-being of young adults. Despite extensive research conducted in this area, eudaimonic well-being, one specific form focusing self-knowledge self-realization within existential challenges, received comparatively less attention. current study aimed to investigate potential linkages between two key factors, inflexibility fear death, with among adults context Covid-19 pandemic. One year after outbreak, 317 Italian (18-34 yrs.) participated an online survey, including measures (AAQ-II), death (CL-FODS), (PWB). Results showed that was negatively associated all dimensions Ryff’s model while others found be three these (autonomy, environmental mastery, self-acceptance). also indicated mediation role association well-being. These findings expand our knowledge factors may influence provide insights for clinical work challenged by uncertain times.

Abstract Objectives This study investigates the relationships between COVID‐19 pandemic, lifestyle factors, and their impact on bone mineral density in radius forearm total content young adults from Slovakia. Methods We assessed 773 Slovak aged 18 to 30 years, divided into subgroups pandemic status. Bone (BMD) was analyzed by QUS device (Sunlight MiniOmni™), (BMC) fat mass (FM) were measured InBody 770 bioimpedance analyzer. Finally, linear regression analysis tested associations. Results Statistically significant lower speed of sound (SOS) along length Z‐score values determined participants during than before it, statistically BMC observed male group beforehand. Regression confirmed negative effect following indices: SOS ( p < .001 for women = .035 men), .003 .024 men). Vitamin D a further predictor at .029, but this association not detected men. In contrast, predictors presence .028), physical activity percentage .001). Conclusions Significant effects tissue content. These establish that had both quality health.

Although metacognition processes are a core feature of restrictive eating and alcohol cravings entail an individual to control both his/her emotions thoughts, yet, our knowledge, scarcity research has examined their potential role in drunkorexia as cognitive emotional predictors. The following study investigates the different associations between two emotion regulation strategies (i.e. suppression reappraisal) behaviors sample Lebanese adults, exploring possible indirect effects positive negative alcohol-related metacognitions. This was cross-sectional that enrolled 335 participants (March-July 2021).Higher problematic use (beta = 5.56), higher physical activity index 0.08), expressive 0.23), metacognitive beliefs about harm due drinking 0.75) reappraisal 0.20) were significantly associated with more drunkorexic behaviors. self-regulation mediated association Both uncontrollability behaviors. This demonstrated drunkorexia, addressing well mediating effect deficient risky behavioral patterns. The literature has widely acknowledged the impact of COVID-19 pandemic on mental health young adults. Despite extensive research, eudaimonic well-being, which focuses self-knowledge and self-realization, been scarcely investigated. This cross-sectional study aimed to add knowledge well-being adults one year after outbreak pandemic, verifying its potential linkages with fear death psychological inflexibility. A total 317 Italian (18–34 years), recruited through a chain sampling method, completed measures inflexibility, death, included in an online survey. study’s hypotheses were tested multivariate multiple regression mediational analyses. Results showed that inflexibility was negatively associated all dimensions while others autonomy, environmental mastery, self-acceptance. Furthermore, association between mediation role verified. These results contribute extant factors providing clinical insights into work within challenging times.
