The emergence of tele-exercise as a response to the impact technology on physical activity has opened up new possibilities for promoting health. By integrating innovative technologies and open-source platforms, encourages people stay active. In our latest analysis, we delved into scientific literature surrounding use in training healthy individuals. After conducting an extensive search PubMed database using keywords "tele-exercise" "physical activity" (from 2020 2023), identified 44 clinical trials that were applicable tele-exercise, but less than 10% them aimed at individuals, precisely 9.09% (four out forty-four studies analyzed). Our review highlights potential help maintain fitness psychological well-being, especially when traditional facilities are not option. We also underscore importance interoperability, standardization, incorporation biomechanics, exercise physiology, neuroscience development platforms. Nevertheless, despite these promising benefits, research shown there is still significant gap knowledge concerning definition evaluation parameters As result, call further establish evidence-based practices population.

Introduction This study aimed to review the impact of tele-exercise on different adult populations, comparing synchronous and asynchronous interventions their effects outcomes such as quality life, physical fitness, functional capacity, strength, pain. Methods Randomised clinical trials quasi-experimental studies published between 2014 2024 were included, totalling 16 with 1,416 participants. The varied teleexercise (via videoconference) apps recorded videos). followed PRISMA guidelines, ensuring a systematic approach selection, data extraction, bias assessment. Results results indicate that tele-exercise, especially synchronous, has potential primarily improve pain perception, being effective for elderly individuals specific conditions multiple sclerosis obesity. Discussion However, methodological heterogeneity lack consistent limit generalisation findings, highlighting need more high-quality research. Background: This research explored how tele-exercise influenced physical fitness and mental well-being in individuals with without disabilities different training habits. Methods: One hundred ninety-three participants were categorized into two groups: athletes non-athletes. Participants involved either synchronous or asynchronous programs of three sessions workouts per week, lasting eight weeks. Psychological was evaluated pre- vs. post-intervention by the WHO-Five Well-Being Index (WHO-5), General (PGWBI), Perceived Stress Scale (PSS-10). Fitness assessment tools included 2-minute step test, curl-up forward bending squat test. Body weight also assessed post-intervention. Results: The analysis showed a significant increment all scores (p-value ranged from <0.001 to 0.015) no change body weight. tests indicated an overall participants' measured WHO-5 unexpectedly, stress level through PSS-10. Conclusions: Enabled technology, provides flexible convenient complementary approach conventional workouts, helping maintain active lifestyle improve their well-being. Positive effects on sedentary population's lifestyles are discussed.

There is little research conducted to systematically synthesize the evidence on psychological interventions for social isolation and loneliness among older adults during medical pandemics. This systematic review aims address this information gap provides guidance planning implementing prevent reduce adults, especially pandemics.Four electronic databases (EMBASE, PsychoInfo, Medline Web of Science) grey literature from 1 January 2000 13 September 2022 were searched eligible studies isolation. Data extraction methodological quality assessment key study characteristics independently by two researchers. Both qualitative synthesis meta-analysis used. The initial search yielded 3,116 titles. Of 215 full texts reviewed, 12 intervention articles targeting COVID-19 pandemic met inclusion criteria. No found concerning with respect Overall, skills elimination negativities effectively alleviated feelings in population. However, they had only short-term effects. This summarised effectiveness existing addressing pandemic. Future should focus eliminating be tailored needs people. Background The COVID-19 pandemic affected older adults worldwide. Sedentary experienced more severe adverse health effects due to their shelter-in-place. Physical activity was strongly recommended during periods of social distancing. present study evaluated the impact a virtually supervised exercise program on physical fitness and mental Mexican pandemic’s lockdown. Methods Participants were 44 who assigned one four groups: healthy control group (Ctrl-H, n = 15), comorbidity (Ctrl-COM, 9), an without comorbidities (Exe-H, 11), with (Exe-COM, 9). participants engaged in 60-min, virtually-supervised concurrent session three times/week for 12 weeks. Fitness measured using online Senior Tests 4-m Gait Speed Test. Mental through virtual interviews Hamilton Depression Rating Scale, Geriatric Connor-Davidson Resilience Scale. Within-subject pre vs. post-intervention comparisons tested significant differences, between-groups over time. Results Significant interactions found scores Scale ( p ≤ 0.0001; η 2 0.35), resilience 0.46), lower-body strength 0.32), timed up-and-go test 0.018; 0.18), 6MWT distance 0.39), gait speed 0.011; 0.20). Conclusion A long-term conducted lockdown period led marked improvements both adults. Comorbidities did not diminish these benefits. These findings provide empirical support programs daily routines make clinically meaningful well-being.

Data sources Articles published PubMed, Cochrane Library and Embase (Ovid) from 01 January 2010 up to 17 October 2023. Review Methods Included studies had (1) a randomised controlled trial design, (2) an average population age 65 years or older, (3) home-based setting (4) evaluated outcome measures. The intervention was considered when by healthcare professional using video, audio and/or text communication technologies with minimum frequency once per week. Preferred Reporting Items for Systematic Reviews Meta-Analysis 2020 statement guideline followed. Methodological quality appraised revised Risk Bias tool. Results A total 26 trials were included. Telerehabilitation superior ( N = 15), non-superior 16) non-inferior 11) measures compared control interventions. No found be over telerehabilitation. Between study differences characteristics contributed significant clinical heterogeneity. Five present overall ‘low’ risk bias, 12 ‘some’ bias 9 ‘high’ bias. The purpose of our study was to investigate the effect tele-exercise (TE) performed for 4 consecutive weeks on fitness indicators in hospitalized post-COVID-19 patients versus non-hospitalized patients. Forty COVID-19 survivors were included, and divided into two groups: hospitalized. Body composition, anthropometric characteristics, pulmonary function tests, single-breath diffusing capacity carbon monoxide, 6-min walk tests (6MWT) handgrip strength recorded before after a TE regimen (3 sessions per week, 60 min each session, warm-up cool-down with mobility exercises, aerobic exercise such as walking outdoors, multi-joint exercises). Following TE, distance increased both groups, greater observed response group (6MWT: 32.9 ± 46.6% vs. 18.5 14.3%, p < 0.001; handgrip: 15.9 12.3% 8.9 7.6%, 0.001).
