The abnormally high level of bilirubin (BR) in biofluids (human serum and urine) indicates a probability jaundice liver dysfunction. However, quantification BR as the Jaundice biomarker is difficult due to interference various biomolecules urine. To address this issue, we developed fluorescence-based detection strategy, for which yellow emissive carbon dots (YCDs) were produced from one-step solvothermal process using phloroglucinol thionin acetate chemical precursors. as-fabricated YCDs exhibited strong fluorescence peak at wavelength 542 nm upon excitation 390 nm. We used detecting through turn-off mechanism, unveiling excellent sensitivity linear range 0.5-12.5 μM with limit (LOD) 9.62 nM, was far below clinically relevant range. analytical nanoprobe also offered specificity quantifying real samples. Moreover, biocompatible fluorescent successfully employed target mitochondria live cancer cells. A colocalization study confirmed that possessed ability overlapped completely MitoTracker Red. turned out be straightforward their synthesis, noninvasive, can utilized biomedical sensors diagnose onset well targeting.

Polymer-embedded metal nanoparticles are in great demand owing to their unique features, leading use various important applications, including catalysis reactions. However, particle sintering and aggregation serious drawbacks, resulting a drastic loss of catalytic activity recyclability. Herein, reduction-immobilizing strategy polymer-embedded sub-2 nm Cu offered highly controlled distribution nanoparticle size within polymer structures with high fidelity. This work sheds light on the performance that rely ultrasmall uniform structures, generating more active sites result efficiency reduction organic compounds. A study was carried out for hydrogenation nitro compounds, achieving nearly 100% an extremely short time remaining stable after 15 consecutive cycles. Furthermore, mechanism demonstrated by density functional theory (DFT) calculations. Notably, discovery this facile may enable remarkable cutting-edge design catalyst materials promising stability.

Carbon quantum dots (CQDs), a new class of carbon-based nanomaterials, have emerged as nano-scaled probes with photoluminescence that an eco-friendly and bio-compatible nature. Their cost-efficient synthesis high yields make them indispensable due to their application in opto-electronic devices, including biosensors, bioimaging, environmental monitoring, light sources. This study demonstrates a novel methodology for developing textile-based adsorption sensor via mixed solvent dyeing with aggregation-induced emission (AIE) dyes on recycled fabrics.
