Abstract Background Increasing smartphone use among adolescents in todays’ world has made this handy device an indispensable electronic tool, however, it comes at a price of problematic overuse or addiction. We aim to investigate the prevalence addiction undergraduate medical students and explore its association with various demographic personal factors. Methods A pool 250 completed survey composed socio-demographics information, smartphone-use related variables 10-point Smartphone Addiction Scale-Short Version February 2019. Height, weight, systolic pressure (SBP) diastolic (DBP) were measured following standard protocols, body mass index (BMI) calculated. Overweight/obesity defined according sex- age-specific Chinese reference data. Smartphone Addiction Scale short version (SAS-SV) Pittsburgh Sleep Quality Index (PSQI) used assess sleep quality students, respectively. Health-related quality of life (HRQOL) is a vital benchmark to assess the effects health interventions and policies. Measuring HRQOL general population essential establish reference for outcomes evaluations. However, evidence on populations in low middle income countries very limited. This study aimed measure Vietnamese by using EuroQol-5 dimensions-5 levels (EQ-5D-5L) instrument determine its associated factors.A cross-sectional was performed Hanoi with 1571 residences Hanoi, capital city Vietnam. EQ-5D-5L EQ- visual analogue scale (EQ-VAS) were used HRQOL. Potential covariates included socio-demographic characteristics, having acute symptoms last four weeks, chronic diseases three months, multiple issues, service utilisation twelve months. A generalized linear model employed identify association between covariates.Overall, mean EQ-5D utility index 0.91 (SD = 0.15), EQ-VAS score 87.4 14.3). The highest proportion respondents reporting any problems Usual activities (24.3%), followed Anxiety/Depression (15.2%) Pain/Discomfort (10.0%), while lowest percentage Self-care (2.5%). Lower composite scores related unemployment, lower income, higher education, living urban areas, diseases, issues service. Background The emergence of the COVID-19 pandemic has affected lives many people, including medical students. present study explored internet addiction and changes in sleep patterns among students during assessed relationship between them. Methods A cross-sectional was carried out seven countries, Dominican Republic, Egypt, Guyana, India, Mexico, Pakistan, Sudan, using a convenience sampling technique, an online survey comprising demographic details, information regarding COVID-19, Pittsburgh Sleep Quality Index (PSQI), Internet Addiction Test (IAT). Results In total, 2749 participants completed questionnaire. Of 67.6% scored above 30 IAT, suggesting presence addiction, 73.5% equal 5 PSQI, poor quality. found to be significant predictors quality, causing 13.2% variance Participants who reported related symptoms had disturbed higher levels when compared with those did not. diagnosis Those living diagnosed patient worse quality not have any patients their surroundings. Abstract Social networking sites (SNSs) are now used by billions of users worldwide and can help facilitate communication the sharing information. However, there is evidence that problematic SNS use (PSNSU) have negative effects on health. The present study examined associations between PSNSU, sleep quality, attention-deficit/hyperactivity disorder (ADHD), depression, anxiety stress among users. A total 638 (mean age = 32.03 years, SD 10.08) completed an online survey comprising instruments assessing addiction, ADHD, stress. Regression analysis indicated factors ( β − .24, p < .01), relationship status (i.e., being in a relationship) .09, .05), ADHD .43, .01) .12, explained 23.9% variance use.
