Aerobic composting is one of the methods for resource utilization submerged plant residues. This study investigated effects biochar, wetland sediments and microbial agents added individually or combined on humification process, lignocellulose degradation communities during Ceratophyllum demersum Potamogeton wrightii composting. The results showed that addition sediment biochar was found to significantly elevate temperature compost products. average content lignin in and/or treatments 12.2–13.5%, which higher than control group (10.9–11.45%). Compared with organic matter (19.4%) total nitrogen concentration (35.3%) treated complex agent treatments, homemade increased values by 22.1% 41.0%, respectively. By comparing differences among different demonstrated greater increases activity diversity degradation-related microbes, especially Truepera Actinomarinale. Humus component were most critical parameters influencing changes bacterial community. Based these results, a combination promising additive an effective strategy, identified as potential compost.

Background Intercropping Saccharum spp. (sugarcane) with the fungus Dictyophora indusiata together bagasse amendment represents an innovative circular agriculture method that can enhance soil health, boost sugarcane yields, and increase farm profitability. Understanding process by which D. degrades is key to optimizing this method. Aims This study aims clarify microbial metabolic processes involved in degradation intercropping system. Methods Chemical composition analysis, metabarcoding sequencing, metabolomic profiling were conducted on -degraded (DIBA) naturally degraded (BA). Results Analysis of chemical revealed only acid detergent fiber (ADF) crude protein content differed significantly between DIBA BA treatments. Metabarcoding sequencing showed altered bacterial fungal communities, reducing diversity. Metabolomic analysis indicated enhancement biological metabolism, particularly carbohydrate breakdown, treatment. Key metabolites, such as glucose, cellobiose, D-mannose, more abundant samples. In addition, unique metabolites L-alanine, serine, oxaloacetate detected treatment, suggesting efficient compared natural processes. Conclusion The use macrofungi play a pivotal role transforming agricultural waste into valuable amendments. Future research should focus long-term impact system quality crop yield, well underlying mechanisms, further optimize systems fungi management.

The transfer of antibiotic resistance genes (ARGs) from soils to vegetables negatively impacts human health. This study explored the effects high-dose (18.73 t/ha) application traditional compost (TC) and composts produced through co-composting materials with large-sized (5–10 mm) biochar-amended (LBTC) or small-sized (< 0.074 (SBTC) on distribution ARGs in a soil–cucumber system were explored. Results indicated that SBTC group had highest soil nitrogen, phosphorus, potassium contents, followed by LBTC, TC, control treatment groups. These findings aligned quality weight harvested cucumbers. Bacterial community diversity decreased compost-fertilized soils. Compared their preexperimental values soils, total absolute abundances mobile genetic elements (MGEs) increased 23.88 6.66 times, respectively, group; 5.59 5.23 TC 5.50 1.81 LBTC 5.49 0.47 group. those group, abundance ermB , ermT gyrA qnrS tetC intI1 6–100% Compost significantly ARG cucumbers; most significant effect reduced number host bacteria at phylum level four three. Nutrient levels important factors influencing migration In summary, when compared other composts, is more effective reducing risk accumulation system.

Oil palm (Elaeis guineensis) is a major contributor to global vegetable oil production; however, ensuring its sustainability remains critical challenge, particularly concerning soil health. In this study, we investigated the impact of long-term organic matter application as part good management (GSM) practices on plantations and compared it with poor determine presence plant growth-promoting bacteria (PGPB) in communities. The ten-years regular GSM plots led notable improvements chemical properties, including total carbon, nitrogen, available phosphorus, potassium, cation exchange capacity. Metagenomic analysis revealed significantly higher abundance beneficial microbial species exclusively found plots, supporting growth. Furthermore, novel finding emerged from successfully predicted metabolic function PGPB communities using PICRUST2 provided by microbiome. indicated that increased functional enzymes related PGP activities, such nitrogen fixation, phosphate solubilization, potassium phytohormone synthesis. This study underscores significance implementing incorporating eco-friendly materials, matter, enhance health fertility ensure sustainability.
