The main purpose of the investigation is to determine toxic effects alkaloid-rich extract seeds Datura innoxia Mill. on liver tissue white laboratory rats. an annual herb belonging Solanaceae family and widely distributed in territory Republic Azerbaijan. species are known as a source tropane alkaloids, which have therapeutic effects. primary symptoms poisoning, related anticholinergic include hallucinations, mydriasis, dry skin, dizziness, tachycardia, reduced urinary retention, etc. various pathological changes living organisms due toxicity alkaloids were detected by different groups researchers. In presented study plant was prepared using acid-base extraction method dissolved 0.9% physiological saline. Animals subjected oral administration for period 30 days at dose 5 mg/kg body weight, once daily. At end experimental study, samples obtained from control groups. Arsenic in the environment, such as sodium arsenic (NaAsO2), is a frequently occurring hazard that has been linked to nonalcoholic steatohepatitis (NASH). Our prior research established involvement of ferroptosis arsenic-induced NASH, but precise underlying mechanisms remain elusive. Here, we found exposure NaAsO2 had suppressive effect on expression CDGSH iron-sulfur domain-containing protein 2 (CISD2) at and gene levels, overexpression CISD2 inhibited NaAsO2-induced NASH. Additionally, administration hepatocytes triggered mitochondrial dysfunction, manifesting release cytochrome c, impairment respiratory chain, reduction ATP synthesis. However, these adverse effects were alleviated through CISD2. Intracellular iron redistribution was induced by ferroptosis. This inhibition characterized cytoplasmic levels an increase levels. study demonstrated intracellular reorganization dysfunction inhibition, leading may provide novel means treatment fatty liver disease environmental factors.

Abstract Iron oxide nanoparticles, recognized for their superparamagnetic properties, are promising future healthcare therapies. However, extensive use in medicine and electronics contributes to discharge into our environments, highlighting the need further research on cellular damage effects aquatic organisms. While detrimental properties of other compounds have been stated early-life stages fish, cytotoxic consequences iron nanoparticles (SPIONs) these still unexplored. Therefore, using red tilapia ( Oreochromis sp.) as a model organism, this study is first talk about subtle alterations caused by biologically induced biomineralized Fe 3 O 4 -SPIONs Bacillus sp. stages. Once eggs were fertilized, they challenged different doses SPIONs (0, 5, 10, 15, 30 mg/l), tenfold increases (50, 100, 150, 300 mg/l) 72 h. The hatching rate, malformation body length, deformities larvae all studied. Our showed that harmful early life embryos larvae. They slowed delay, decrease survival an increase heart bleeding, arrested development, membrane changed axis’s physiological structure. Additionally, results indicated numerous larvae, with lordosis, kyphosis, scoliosis once subjected 50 150 mg/l concentrations, respectively. This could assist us recognizing risk evaluating disrupting potential nanoparticles. key objective inquiry describe existing features produced magnetite (29.44 g/l) including morphological, chemical, magnetic characteristics. Illustrate current role medicinal applications organisms studying vivo motivate development enhanced systems. As recommendation, more needed completely understand how various exposure endpoints disturb bodies Key points • Biogenic SPIONs: material future. Phenylthiourea (PTU) is a well-known inhibitor of melanin synthesis that has been extensively utilized in ecotoxicological studies involving zebrafish. Although there are reports suggesting PTU may influence the toxicity various compounds, underlying mechanisms its action remain unclear. Bavachalcone (BavaC) wide range applications agriculture and medicine, it can enter groundwater through variety pathways pose risk to aquatic ecosystems. We found enhanced hepatotoxicity BavaC zebrafish, but mechanism was In this study, interactive effects 200 μM 2.5 on zebrafish larvae were evaluated after 72 h exposure. significantly increased BavaC-induced hepatotoxicity, which characterized by liver hypoplasia, hepatocyte vacuolation, lipid accumulation. Matrix-assisted laser desorption ionization mass spectrometry imaging (MALDI-MSI) revealed contents fatty acids, phosphatidylcholine glutathione increased. The results RNA sequencing (RNA-seq) Real-time PCR (RT-qPCR) analyses indicated several metabolic pathways, including xenobiotic biodegradation metabolism, amino acid metabolism carbohydrate differentially regulated PTU+BavaC group compared group. Our findings indicate PTU-induced disorders exacerbate highlight need reconsider use zebrafish-based assessments environmental pollutants.
