Photodynamic and photothermal therapies with IR780 have gained exponential interest, their photophysical properties demonstrated promise for use in antitumor antimicrobial chemotherapy. its derivatives are valuable labeling nanostructures different chemical compositions vitro vivo fluorescence monitoring studies the near-infrared (NIR) spectrum. The current literature is abundant on this topic, particularly applications treatment of types cancer using laser illumination to produce photodynamic (PDT), (PTT), and, more recently, sonodynamic therapy (SDT) approaches cell death.
