To investigate the protection of cinnamic aldehyde (CA) against myocardial ischemia/hypoxia (I/H) injury and its potential mechanisms in vivo vitro. Mice were pretreated with CA for 7 days, then isoproterenol (85 mg/kg) was administered 2 consecutive days to assess cardioprotection. Furthermore, an vitro I/H model established by administering CoCl2 (600 μM) H9c2 cells 24 h. 12 h protection. Purpose: Despite significant advances in interventional treatment, myocardial infarction (MI) and subsequent cardiac fibrosis remain major causes of high mortality worldwide. Liquiritin (LQ) is a flavonoid extract from licorice that possesses variety pharmacological properties. However, to our knowledge, the effects LQ on after MI have not been reported detail. The aim research was explore potential role mechanism MI-induced damage. Methods: models were established by ligating left anterior descending branch coronary artery. Next, rats orally administered once day for 14 days. Biochemical assays, histopathological observations, ELISA, Western blotting analyses then conducted. Results: improved heart appearance ECG, decreased weight index reduced levels cardiac-specific markers such as CK, CK-MB, LDH, cTnI BNP. Meanwhile, infarct size hemodynamic parameters LVEDP, LVSP ±dp/dt max . Moreover, H&E staining showed attenuated pathological damage caused MI. Masson alleviated cell disorder while reducing collagen deposition. also oxidative stress inflammation. demonstrated significantly down-regulated expressions Collagen I, III, TGF-β 1, MMP-9, α-SMA, CCL5, p-NF-κB. Heart failure (HF) is the most common complication following myocardial infarction, closely associated with ventricular remodeling. Aconitum carmichaelii Debx., a traditional Chinese herb, possesses therapeutic effects on HF and related cardiac diseases. However, its mechanisms HF-associated diseases are still unclear. In present study, water extraction of toasted Debx. (WETA) was verified using UPLC-Q/TOF-MS. The heart function rats assessed by echocardiography strain analysis, injury measured serum levels CK-MB, cTnT, cTnI. pathological changes tissues were evaluated 2,3,5-triphenyltetrazolium chloride (TTC) staining, hematoxylin eosin (H&E) Masson's trichrome staining. Additionally, inflammation-related genes proteins components to vascular remodeling detected RT-qPCR, Western blot, immunofluorescence.
