Abnormalities in emotion recognition (ER) are frequently reported depression, with lower accuracy patients major depressive disorder (MDD) when compared to healthy individuals. Mindfulness was found directly impact the severity of symptoms, by recognizing negative cognitions and dysfunctional reactions. The aims this study were compare ER mindfulness levels between MDD controls (HCs), as well examine whether related symptom patients. Sixty‐eight 93 HCs participated study. A sociodemographic form, reading mind eyes test (RMET), five facet questionnaire‐short form (FFMQ‐S) Montgomery–Asberg depression scale (MADRS) administered. Group comparison performed using multivariate analysis covariance (MANCOVA). Bivariate correlations hierarchical linear regression analyses assess associations severity, patient group. Higher level relative group, however, no difference present groups. positive association non‐reactivity found. On other hand, not significantly associated among individuals MDD. Non‐reactivity, unlike dimensions mindfulness, seems increase symptoms particular focus on subdimension techniques may yield better outcomes alleviation symptoms.

Cognitive neuroscience explores the mechanisms of cognition by studying its structural and functional brain correlates. Many studies have combined neuroimaging techniques to uncover complex relationship between them. In this study, we report first systematic review that assesses how information from methods can be integrated investigate substrates cognition.

The primary aim was to explore state- and trait-level effects candidate mechanisms of four Mindfulness-Based Cognitive Therapy (MBCT) practices. One hundred sixty adults self-selected from the general population were randomized one mindfulness practices: body scan, mindful movement, breath body, befriending. Study 1 explored state-level self-compassion, mindfulness, decentering (mechanisms), pleasantness thoughts, emotions, sensations at multiple time points using two single sessions. 2 decentering, interoceptive awareness, attentional control anxiety, depression, psychological quality life pre-post weeks daily practice. In study 1, demonstrated in all outcomes within whole sample across (d = 0.27 0.86), except for state decentering. After controlling pre-scores additional covariates, no between-group found (p 0.050 0.973). 2, most 0.26 0.64) but 0.080 0.805). Within sample, after pre-scores, changes awareness (i.e. listening) associated with improvements (r 0.23 0.40) self-led practice 0.18 0.23). Future research should test generated hypotheses well-designed, adequately powered, theory-driven studies that address universal specific different populations contexts. Although there is a vast body of neuroscientific research on cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), many therapists are confused about how to incorporate the evidence into their clinical practice. This narrative review translates CBT for depression therapist-friendly formulation model. Four brain networks that particularly relevant depression, including Central Executive Network, Default mode Salience and Affective were identified based interactions described in relation depressive symptoms. Additionally, it clarified each technique works map. Assessment, intervention selection, patient psychoeducation this model will facilitate application neuroscience CBT.

Aim This study investigated the impact of an 8‐month daily‐guided intensive meditation‐based intervention (iMI) on persistent hallucinations/delusions and health‐related quality life (QoL) in male inpatients with schizophrenia treatment‐refractory hallucinations delusions (TRHDs). Methods A randomized controlled trial assigned 64 TRHD equally to iMI plus general rehabilitation program (GRP) or GRP alone. Assessments were conducted at baseline third eighth months using Positive Negative Syndrome Scale (PANSS), 36‐Item Short Form‐36 (SF‐36), Five Facet Mindfulness Questionnaire (FFMQ). Primary outcomes measured PANSS reduction rates for total score, positive symptoms, items. Secondary assessed PANSS, SF‐36, FFMQ scores psychotic QoL, mindfulness skills, respectively. Results In primary outcome, significantly improved hallucination/delusion items compared both months. Treatment response (≥25% reduction) these measures increased group month. Concerning secondary outcomes, reduced score items, while increasing physical activity skills GRP. These effects more pronounced a 3‐month intervention. Conclusions An benefits patients TRHDs by reducing enhancing QoL. Longer duration yields superior treatment outcomes.

Abstract Background and Aims Lung cancer is ranked as the second most prevalent form of worldwide. Nonsmall cell lung (NSCLC) represents predominant histological subtype. Research suggests that one‐third patients also experiencing depression. Antidepressants play an indispensable role in management NSCLC. Despite significant advancements treatment, still face a high mortality rate. Major depressive disorder (MDD) related antidepressants involved treatment efficacy prognosis However, there has been lack screening analysis regarding genes networks associated with both NSCLC MDD. Methods To investigate correlation between MDD NSCLC, our discovery validation included four datasets from Gene Expression Omnibus database or Differential gene expression (DEGs) analysis, GO KEGG Pathway, protein‐protein interaction network analyzes to identify hub genes, networks, observations link Results The two yielded total 84 downregulated 52 upregulated DEGs. Pathway enrichment indicated co‐upregulated were enriched regulation positive cellular development, collagen‐containing extracellular matrix (ECM), cytokine binding, axon guidance. We identified 20 key which further analyzed using MCODE plugin core subnetworks. integration functionally similar provided valuable insights into potential involvement these diverse biological processes including angiogenesis humoral immune response inflammatory organization ECM network. Conclusion have 136 DEGs participate multiple signaling pathways. A demonstrated robust associations, potentially indicating novel diagnostic therapeutic targets for diseases.
