The present study examined the predictability of Time Perspective (TP) tendencies (i.e., Past Positive, Negative, Present Hedonistic, Fatalistic, and Future), Balanced (BTP) profile, Consideration Future Consequences—Immediate (CFC-I) factor, Consequences—Future (CFC-F) conspiracy beliefs about COVID-19 being a hoax, religious faith, gender, race on vaccination intention as dependent variable. Participants were recruited in United States through online platforms Prolific Google Forms. final sample was n = 232 (n 99 male, 129 female, 2 other, Mage 31). Outcome measures included sociodemographic questions, Zimbardo Inventory—short version, Consequences (CFC) ultra-short scale, Conspiracy Beliefs questionnaire, Santa Clara Strength Religious Faith Questionnaire—brief version. Regression analyses revealed that reduced by gender identification woman, multiracial or from mixed origin, Deviation BTP belief faith. Conversely, to vaccinate against increased CFC-I, CFC-F. These findings could be beneficial for knowledge transfer behavioral interventions aimed promote COVID-19, health promotion campaigns, public field.

Studies investigating salivary cortisol level as susceptibility marker for post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD) produced inconsistent results. The aim of this study was to compare concentration levels in PTSD patients with those controls by synthesizing published data. We did a systematic review, meta-analysis and meta-regression studies comparing concentrations between controls. electronic databases PubMed, Embase, Web Science Psyc-ARTICLES were searched relevant articles. A random-effects model restricted maximum-likelihood estimator is used synthesize the effect size (assessed standardized mean difference). total 784 articles identified which 22 included final analysis. trend lower found when compared (SMD = − 0.28, 95% CI-0.53;-0.04, p 0.022). Subgroup analysis showed that than conducted after 2007 or using saliva samples collected morning. evidence from supports morning consistently controls, although whether could be diagnostic tool requires further research.

COVID-19 is a new type of trauma that has never been conceptually or empirically analyzed in our discipline. This study aimed to investigate the impact as traumatic stress on mental health after controlling for individuals' previous stressors and traumas. We utilized sample (N = 1374) adults from seven Arab countries. used an anonymous online questionnaire included measures stress, posttraumatic disorder, anxiety, depression, cumulative conducted hierarchical multiple regression, with anxiety dependent variables. In first step, each analysis, we entered country, gender, age, religion, education, income independent variables (Kira, Traumatology 7(2):73–86, 2001; Kira, Torture, 14:38–44, 2004; Traumatology, 2021, https://doi.org/10.1037/trm0000305). second traumas variable. third either one its subtypes (fears infection, economic, lockdown) Finally, structural equation modeling PTSD, predictors latent variable Results indicated stressors, three subtypes, were unique depression. Thus, serious effects.

An increasing interest in the construct of time perspective (TP), describing dispositional tendencies to use, and overuse particular horizons, is observed psychological research literature. Additionally, it has been suggested that people can develop Balanced Time Perspective (BTP). The term BTP refers ability switch effectively between temporal horizons response situational environmental demands. Among various methods assessing BTP, one gained particularly high attention researchers, namely Deviation from (DBTP). It depicts a deviation an optimal profile, shown be robust predictor multiple real-life outcomes variables. In present article, we provide systematic review empirical literature reporting relationships DBTP Our shows findings refer number phenomena, including well-being, mental health, personality, cognitive functioning, self-control, interpersonal relations, as well biological features demographic discussion, conclude that, light reviewed applying DBTP, appears important mechanism adaptation, with pronounced effects on well-being. We also highlight potential pathways for future phenomenon balance.

Abstract Background Steroid hormones are key mediators of adaptative responses to exercise, a stimulus that may concurrently affect their blood concentrations. However, the chronic endocrine adaptations and whether these potential changes dependent on exercise intensity remain undetermined. Moreover, it is also unknown if exercise‐induced effects steroid hormonal status related participant' sex. Methods This study aimed investigate 24‐week supervised concurrent training intervention in sedentary young men women. A total 106 untrained adults (68% women) aged 18–25 years were randomly assigned one three groups: (I) Control group (no exercise; n = 35); (II) Ex‐Moderate (concurrent at moderate intensity; 36); (III) Ex‐Vigorous vigorous 35). (i.e. cortisol, testosterone dehydroepiandrosterone sulfate (DHEAS)) measured plasma through chemiluminescent method. Body composition parameters determined using dual‐energy X‐ray absorptiometry scanner. Results No significant levels observed after (all p ≥ .129). time x interaction was noted testosterone/cortisol ratio (T/C ratio) only women ( .044). Concretely, our data showed decrement T/C both compared with control (Δ −24.2 ± 2.0% Δ −38.9 45.4%, respectively). Conclusion Our no hormone levels. women, indicating sexual dimorphism effect ratio.
