The use of natural preservatives in the storage fresh fruits is a promising approach to healthier and more sustainable food processing. current study was conducted evaluate effect pomegranate peel extract (PPE) lactic acid (LA) as on shelf life Khalal Barhi date fruits. Physicochemical properties, antioxidant activity, color parameters, texture profile, sensory characteristics, microbiological quality were evaluated during six weeks cold (4 ± 1 °C). bioactive compounds PPE determined by HPLC analysis, which showed that rich source compounds, particularly phenolics flavonoids. results exhibited decreased moisture content (from 68.36-68.43 62.13-63.11%) an increased soluble solids 27.16-27.24 31.45-33.91%) all samples with prolonged storage. A circular, sustainable bioeconomy is gaining ground across the globe.Green synthesis, which uses renewable feedstock, becoming a mainstay of chemical industry.To produce polylactic acid, biodegradable plastic, researchers are increasingly focusing on low-cost substrates to lactic acid.In United Arab Emirates, one such substrate with readily available reducing sugar date fruit pomace (DFP).It solid residue obtained from processing and contains 35% sugars dry basis.It potential feedstock for acid fermentation.Here, effects media supplements fermentation parameters L-lactic production by Lactobacillus casei were investigated.The yield improved when pH was maintained at 6.2 during incubation enzyme Cellic CTec2 used release pomace.At controlled pH, concentration 292 ± 1.2 g/kg DFP achieved 80 g inoculated bacteria (3.9 × 10 colony-forming units) incubated 7 days.Upon hydrolysis 40 FPU/g CTec2, content increased 482 DFP, 457 1.4 DFP.Using n-butanol, via phase partitioning, 78.9% pure extracted broth.

Date palm is the most important fruit crop in Middle East, North Africa, and Southwest Asia. However, a large amount of waste generated through various industries related to date processing. press cake (DPC) main by-product honey or syrup industry, where it gives 17–28 g DPC /100 usually discarded as waste. Due its higher content nutrients bioactive compounds, can be valorized inclusion food nonfood applications. Abstract Purpose of Review In countries such the USA, Iran, and Turkey, pistachio nut is considered one most economically valuable agricultural products. Pistachio production related dehulling processes generate a large quantity organic waste, containing green hull, cluster woody part, shells, leaves. The inadequate conventional management wastes calls for sustainable economical strategies not only to enhance resource efficiency but also create value.
