Date palm is the most important fruit crop in Middle East, North Africa, and Southwest Asia. However, a large amount of waste generated through various industries related to date processing. press cake (DPC) main by-product honey or syrup industry, where it gives 17–28 g DPC /100 usually discarded as waste. Due its higher content nutrients bioactive compounds, can be valorized inclusion food nonfood applications. The potential applications promising ingredient innovative substrate different were discussed this review, including chemical composition, nutritional value, functionality, current DPC, limitations, future trends.

Extracting value from date fruit pomace, commonly dismissed as animal feed by syrup factories, unveils a substantial composition of both insoluble and soluble fibers, along with valuable phenolic compounds. This nutritional profile positions fibre an option for consumers seeking alternative sources. study investigates the extraction high ingredient pomace its integration into bread wheat flour at replacement levels 5%, 10%, 15%, 20% (w/w). The research examines resulting dough's properties using farinograph, rheometer, texture analyzer optical microscopy. Furthermore, it explores potential dietary supplement. Our findings reveal that is rich in antioxidants, has moderate moisture protein content, low-fat levels. It displays promising water oil retention capacity. However, incorporation leads to formation hardened, adhesive dough low stability mixing. These provide insights diverse applications ingredient, highlighting characteristics challenges when utilized baking practices.

Abstract Rapeseed meal (RSM) is an agro-industrial residue of increased functional biological value that contains high-quality proteins for animal feed. Due to the presence antinutritional factors and immature development technology, RSM currently used as a limited feed additive in other relatively low-value applications. With increasing emphasis on green sustainable industrial added residues, considerable attention has been directed removal from using high-efficiency, environment-friendly, cost-effective biotechnology. Similarly, high-value biotransformations have focus research programmes improve utilization rate. In this review, we introduce sources, nutrient antinutrient content RSM, emphasize improvements quality methods its biotransformation

Abstract Purpose of Review In countries such the USA, Iran, and Turkey, pistachio nut is considered one most economically valuable agricultural products. Pistachio production related dehulling processes generate a large quantity organic waste, containing green hull, cluster woody part, shells, leaves. The inadequate conventional management wastes calls for sustainable economical strategies not only to enhance resource efficiency but also create value. Recent Findings residues have high content total extractives essential oils considerable amount phenolic compounds that explain their good antioxidant activities other potential human health benefits. Furthermore, considering generation volume (about 660,000 tons) lignocellulosic structure, can be sustainably used produce value-added products, as biofuels, phytochemicals, activated carbon, bioproducts filamentous fungi protein enriched biomass, single-cell (SCP), volatile fatty acids. general, recent studies comprehensively investigated all Summary This review provides thourough insight into present processing industries, waste chemical composition characteristics. applications renewable source products by various thermochemical (pyrolysis, gasification, liquefaction), physicochemical (solvent extraction, ultrasound-assisted extraction (UAE), microwave-assisted (MAE), pressurized liquids (PLE)), biological (anaerobic digestion (AD) fermentation (solid-state submerged)) are presented including an analysis advantages disadvantages methods. this regard, new edible antioxidant, market appeal has been briefly considered.
