Abstract Building construction requires important amounts of freshwater, thus depleting the already stressed natural water resources. This issue could be addressed by using recycled in and building systems. However, integrating greywater recycling systems is limited complexity, costs, vulnerability to environmental fluctuations, coordination policymakers, developers, practitioners. Here, we review buildings with focus on case studies successful implementations, policies, treatment buildings, health aspects. Compared conventional tap water, incorporation enhances consistency workability reclaimed concrete 12–14%, it increases viscosity 11% yield stress 25%. We discuss intricacies systems, emphasizing conserving mitigating impact, enhancing economic efficiency. Challenges include quality assurance, dual piping infrastructure, regulatory compliance. Government interventions, including incentives, mandates, subsidy emerge as drivers for widespread adoption. Technological advancements, such membrane filtration advanced oxidation processes, are examined strengths limitations.

Abstract Antimicrobial resistance (AMR) poses a severe threat to global health. The wide distribution of environmental antibiotic genes (ARGs), which can be transferred between microbiota, especially clinical pathogens and human commensals, contributed significantly AMR. However, few databases on the spatiotemporal distribution, abundance, health risk ARGs from multiple environments have been developed, absolute level.
