d-Allulose, a functional bulk sweetener, has recently attracted increasing attention because of its low-caloric-ness properties and diverse health effects. d-Allulose is industrially produced by the enzymatic epimerization d-fructose, which catalyzed ketose 3-epimerase (KEase). In this study, food-grade expression KEase was studied using Bacillus subtills as host. Clostridium sp. d-allulose (Clsp-DAEase) screened from nine d-allulose-producing KEases, showing better potential for in B. WB600. Promoter-based transcriptional regulation N-terminal coding sequence (NCS)-based translational were to enhance DAEase level. addition, synergistic effect promoter NCS on Clsp-DAEase studied. Finally, strain with combination PHapII gln A-Up selected best Clsp-DAEase-producing strain. It efficiently total activity 333.2 1860.6 U/mL shake-flask fed-batch cultivations, respectively.

Host-microbe interactions underlie the development and fitness of many macroorganisms, including bees. Whereas social bees benefit from vertically transmitted gut bacteria, current data suggests that solitary bees, which comprise vast majority species diversity within lack a highly specialized microbiome. Here, we examine composition abundance bacteria fungi throughout complete life cycle ground-nesting bee Anthophora bomboides standfordiana. In contrast to expectations, immature stages maintain distinct core microbiome consisting Actinobacterial genera (Streptomyces, Nocardiodes) fungus Moniliella spathulata. Dormant (diapausing) larval hosted most abundant distinctive fungi, attaining 33 52 times their initial copy number, respectively. We tested two adaptive hypotheses regarding microbial functions for diapausing First, using isolated found Streptomyces brood cells inhibited growth multiple pathogenic filamentous suggesting role in pathogen protection during overwintering, when face high pressure. Second, sugar alcohol changed tandem with major changes fungal abundance, links cold tolerance or overwintering biology. find A. hosts conserved may provide key advantages through diapause, raises question how this is maintained faithfully between generations. Our results suggest focus on microbiomes mature active insect developmental overlook stage-specific symbionts contributions host dormancy.

Abstract In recent years, low-temperature plasma-assisted processes, featuring high reaction efficiency and wide application scope, have emerged as a promising alternative to conventional methods for biomass valorization. It is well established that charged species, chemically energetic molecules radicals, highly active photons playing key roles during processing. This review presents the major applications of plasma conversion in terms (i) pretreatment biomass, (ii) chemo fractionation into value-added chemicals, (iii) synthesis heterogeneous catalyst further chemo-catalytic conversion. The first foremost step upgrading facilitate raw transformation, which reduces crystallinity, purification, delignification. involves primary reactions various kinds target products, such hydrolysis, hydrogenation, retro-aldol condensation so on. Finally, researches on chemo-catalysis catalysts fabricated via at relatively mild condition were introduced. These reported with comparable performance other state-of-the-art prepared using methods. Abstract This comprehensive and critical review explores the synthesis applications of carbohydrate‐based surfactants within biorefinery concept, focusing on biobased sugar‐head molecules suitable for use across several manufacturing sectors, including cosmetics, pharmaceuticals, household products, detergents, foods. The main focus relies sustainable alternatives to conventional surfactants, which could reduce final carbon footprint industrial feedstocks products. A thorough analysis raw materials, highlighting significance feedstock sources, current rhamnolipid biosurfactants production trends, is presented. Key organic reactions sorbitan esters, sucrose alkyl polyglycosides, fatty acid glucamines, such as glycosidation, acylation, etherification, well rhamnolipids through fermentation are described. Given scarce literature characterization these surfactant types hydrophilic–lipophilic deviation (HLD) framework, contribution parameter (SCP) in HLD equation critically assessed. economic landscape also discussed, noting significant growth biosurfactant market, driven by environmental awareness regulatory changes, with projections indicating a substantial market increase forthcoming years. Finally, promising potential generative artificial intelligence (AI) developing customized molecules, optimized properties targeted applications, emphasized avenue future research.

Sorbitol, a product primarily derived from glucose hydrogenation, has extensive applications in the pharmaceutical, chemical and other industries. Amino styrene-co-maleic anhydride polymer encapsulated on activated carbon (Ru/ASMA@AC) catalysts were developed for efficient hydrogenation prepared confined Ru by coordination with (ASMA). Through single-factor experiments, optimal conditions determined to be 2.5 wt.% ruthenium loading catalyst usage of 1.5 g, 20% solution at 130 °C, reaction pressure 4.0 MPa, stirring speed 600 rpm 3 h. These achieved high conversion rate 99.68% sorbitol selectivity 93.04%. Reaction kinetics testing proved that catalyzed Ru/ASMA@AC was first-order reaction, activation energy 73.04 kJ/mol. Furthermore, catalytic performance Ru/AC compared characterized various detection methods. The exhibited excellent stability after five cycles, whereas traditional suffered 10% decrease yield three cycles. results suggest is more promising candidate high-concentration due its superior stability.

Abstract This study aimed to investigate the effect of hyphal formation in Yarrowia lipolytica and biochar addition on erythritol production by submerged fermentation. Hyphal significantly inhibited Y. . Transcriptome analysis suggested that impaired synthesis cells was associated with differential expression genes involved amino acid metabolism, lipid cell wall stability. Deletion RAS2 responsible for yeast‐to‐hypha transition EYD1 included degradation blocked improved production. Biochar prepared from corncob, sugarcane bagasse (SB), corn straw, peanut shell, coconut walnut shell (WS) had a positive production, which WS pyrolyzed at 500°C (WSc) performed best flask In 3.7 L bioreactor, 220.20 ± 10 g/L productivity 2.30 0.10 g/L/h obtained presence 1.4% (w/v) WSc 0.7% SBc (SB 500°C) within 96 h.
