Integrating artificial intelligence (AI) into teaching practices is increasingly vital for preparing students a technology-centric future. This study examined the influence of case-based AI professional development (PD) program on integration strategies and literacy among seven middle school science teachers. Employing three distinct case problems, from well-structured to ill-structured, PD aimed stimulate teachers' reflection encourage construction problem-solving within various pedagogical contexts. Analysis video-recorded discussions revealed that teachers primarily drew personal experiences collaborative across cases. However, complexity problems influenced their approach knowledge co-construction, dealing with ill-structured promoted application new knowledge. Through analyzing survey data, we found marked increase in literacy, particularly domain knowing understanding AI, suggesting pivotal role direct instruction supports growth. this was limited during discussions, while other domains teacher were more frequently employed. The rapid advancement of artificial intelligence (AI) has brought transformative changes to various aspects human life, leading an exponential increase in the number AI users. broad access and usage enable immense benefits but also give rise significant challenges. Previous studies have mostly focused on Artificial Intelligence (AI) education from students’ perspectives. However, it is necessary to understand teachers’ perceptions of AI convergence because they are essential personnel for K-12 education. ABSTRACT Artificial Intelligence (AI) literacy has come to the spotlight, empowering individuals adeptly navigate modern digitalised world. However, studies on teacher AI in English as a Foreign Language (EFL) context remain limited. This study aims identify intraindividual differences and examine its associations with age years of teaching experience among 782 teachers. Given absence reliable instrument measure literacy, we first constructed validated scale encompassing five sub‐scales: Knowledge , Use Assessment Design Ethics . Subsequently, latent profile analysis (LPA) was conducted using Mplus 7.4, results revealing four distinct profiles: Poor (C1: 12.1%), Moderate (C2: 45.5%), Good (C3: 28.4%), Excellent (C4: 14.1%). Multinomial logistic regression analyses indicated significant between both experience. Additionally, 32 respondents participated semi‐structured interviews. Abstract Recent literature underscores the need for teachers to develop AI competencies with a recognition of current lack well‐defined competence frameworks. This critical review investigates teachers' Artificial Intelligence (AI) frameworks (AI CFTs), analysing their strengths, weaknesses and practical applications researchers, educators policymakers. It identifies five distinct types CFTs within Competence Construct Claims (Child, S., & Shaw, S. 2023). El objetivo de este estudio es realizar un recorrido analítico a través artículos científicos sobre inteligencia artificial (IA) en el contexto educativo, localizados Google Scholar y Science Direct, escritos portugués, inglés español desde 2021 adelante. En 2022 se lanzó ChatGPT, tecnología que forma parte del concepto denominado generativa, creada mediante técnicas aprendizaje automático. Este tipo herramientas ha ganado espacio las instituciones escolares sido objeto numerosas discusiones. A raíz ello, los gobiernos muchos países, preocupados por sus impactos, intentan regular uso la IA. Entre resultados obtenidos destaca presencia estudios alfabetización IA, formación docente, necesidad abordar temática interdisciplinariamente niveles iniciales, entre otros.

The rapid advancement of artificial intelligence (AI) in education underscores transformative prospects for open and distributed learning, encompassing distance, hybrid, blended learning environments. This qualitative study, grounded narrative inquiry, investigates the experiences perceptions 141 preservice teachers engaged with AI, mainly through ChatGPT, over a 3-week implementation on Zoom to understand its influence their evolving professional identities instructional methodologies. Employing Strauss Corbin’s methodological approach open, axial, selective coding analyze reflective narratives, study unveils significant themes that underscore dual nature AI education. Key findings reveal ChatGPT’s role enhancing educational effectiveness accessibility while raising ethical concerns regarding academic integrity balanced usage.
