Chitosan
ascorbates
with
different
substitution
degrees
were
synthesized
on
the
basis
of
salification
chitosan
and
ascorbic
acid
at
various
molar
ratios
in
water
successfully
used
to
prepare
antioxidative
films
by
casting
for
first
time.
Fourier
transform
infrared
1H
nuclear
magnetic
resonance
spectra
recorded
structural
characteristics
all
ascorbates;
meanwhile,
physicochemical
property
antioxidant
activity
produced
ascorbate
characterized,
acetate
film
serving
as
control,
these
properties
also
measured
comparison.
The
results
revealed
that
not
only
improved
total
color
difference,
chroma,
opacity,
capacity
blocking
ultraviolet–visible
light,
solubility
chitosan-based
but
decreased
content,
swelling
degree,
vapor
permeability
compared
film.
Also,
was
expected,
assays
showed
incorporation
into
matrix
effectively
enhanced
scavenging
against
DPPH
radical
reducing
power.
