Background: Camellia oleifera Abel (C. oleifera) is widely cultivated and serves as an important source of edible oil. Yet, during oil production, pruned branches generate significant waste contribute to environmental pollution. Objectives: In this work, we obtain a natural polysaccharide from the C. optimize its extraction using Box–Behnken design (BBD), which statistical method commonly used in response surface methodology. Additionally, study properties, such monosaccharide composition, structural features, antioxidant, anti-inflammatory abilities. Results: BBD was employed (solid-liquid ratio = 1:40; 90 °C; 130 min) for higher yield. After purification, major monosaccharides oleifera’s (CBP) were disclosed glucose galactose. Subsequent features CBP measured. The antioxidant abilities highly scavenging rates 2,2-diphenyl-1-picrylhydrazyl hydroxyl radicals, with chelating capacity Fe2+, indicate potent activity CBP. Conclusions: general, demonstrated down-regulating expression IL-6 IL-1β LPS-induced macrophage RAW264.7 model. This bioactive adds value by offering novel approach recycling development oleifera.

An efficient, cost-effective and environmentally friendly ultrasound-assisted hot water method for Imperata cylindrica polysaccharide (ICPs) extraction was developed. According to the response surface results, optimal ultrasonic time 85 min, power 192.75 W, temperature 90.74 °C, liquid–solid ratio 26.1, yield 28.50 %. The mainly consisted of arabinose (Ara), galactose (Gal), glucose (Glc), with a molecular weight 62.3 kDa. Ultrasound-assisted (UICP) exhibited stronger anti-oxidant activity ability ameliorate cellular damage due uric acid stimulation compared traditional (ICPC-b). It also higher thermal stability, indicating its potential value applications in food industry.

The present study assessed the protective effects and underlying mechanisms of mulberry leaf polysaccharides (MLPs) against hydrogen peroxide (H2O2)-induced oxidative stress injury in peripheral blood leukocytes (PBLs) Megalobrama amblycephala. Five treatment groups were established vitro: NC group (PBLs incubated an RPMI-1640 complete medium for 4 h), HP 3 h, then stimulated with 100 μM H2O2 1 50/100/200-MLP pre-treatment pre-treated MLPs (50, 100, 200 μg/mL) h). results showed that MLP dose-dependently enhanced PBLs’ antioxidant capacities. μg/mL effectively protected system PBLs from H2O2-induced damage by reducing malondialdehyde content lactic dehydrogenase cytotoxicity, increasing catalase superoxide dismutase activities (p < 0.05). over-production reactive oxygen species, depletion nicotinamide adenine dinucleotide phosphate, collapse mitochondrial membrane potential significantly inhibited 200-MLP expressions endoplasmic reticulum stress-related genes (forkhead box O1α (foxO1α), binding immunoglobulin protein (bip), activating transcription factor 6 (atf6), C/EBP-homologous (chop)), Ca2+ transport-related (voltage-dependent anion-selective channel (vdac1), mitofusin 2 (mfn2), uniporter (mcu)), interleukin (il-6) bcl2-associated x (bax) lower than 0.05), which rebounded to normal levels > These indicated attenuated PBL M. amblycephala inhibiting maintaining function. findings also support possibility can be exploited as a natural dietary supplement amblycephala, they protect damage.
