The strict connections/interactions between microbial infections and cancer are nowadays widely accepted. Hence, the dual (or multiple) targeting of is an essential issue to be addressed. In this context, metal complexes have gained considerable importance effectiveness in medicinal chemistry. Particularly, N-heterocyclic carbene (NHC) with transition metals emerged as very promising compounds. Among myriad NHC–metal complexes, those bearing silver will subject review. Numerous Ag(I)-NHC revealed high antibacterial and/or anticancer properties, even higher than reference drugs. Herein, we summarize most recent studies while also discussing proposed mechanism action offering interesting remark about research field. Literature databases (PubMed/MEDLINE, Scopus, Google Scholar) were used sources search literature, referring last five years.

A novel [3+3] cyclization reaction between phenol and hydrazone was successfully developed under electrochemically driven conditions. This provided access to a diverse array of 1,3,4-oxadiazinane compounds in consistently high yields, reaching up 87%. Notably, the exhibited remarkable tolerance toward broad spectrum both substrates, underscoring its versatility. Moreover, protocol distinguished itself by exceptional atom step economy, facilitating efficient construction functionalized 1,3,4-oxadiazines. The synthetic utility this approach further exemplified scalability, as demonstrated gram-scale reactions, substrate scope.

Abstract N ‐heterocyclic carbenes (NHCs) are a class of compounds known for their biological activities which the presence therapeutic metal can enhance. The discovery cisplatin as an effective anticancer metallodrug led to research into other metal‐based drugs, not only but applications such antimicrobial, antirheumatic, and antidiabetic. Since metallic silver has been have antimicrobial efficacy, Ag(I)‐NHC complexes developed enhance efficacy both NHC. In this study, we present current review activity several azolium salts corresponding NHC coinage metals (Ag, Au, Cu in order importance). We fully analyzed discussed efficacies when benchmarked against commercially available drugs. Abstract This review provides a comprehensive overview of research on 1,2,4‐triazoles conducted over the last fifteen years. 1,2,4‐Triazoles are highly significant in pharmaceutical industry, with numerous compounds from this class used clinically as antifungal, antiviral, antibacterial, anti‐inflammatory, and antitubercular agents. Beyond their relevance, also explores role material science agriculture. In science, gaining prominence, particularly development energetic materials (EMs), due to exceptional properties such thermal stability, coordination ability, performance comparable well‐known explosives. Their applications extend polymers, corrosion inhibitors, metal‐organic frameworks (MOFs), they play functional for sensors, catalysis, energy storage. ABSTRACT The current study involved production, comprehensive structural analysis, and physicochemical characterizing of two distinctive complexes namely, Cu( TBH ) Zn( ); donor ligand: N′‐(1‐(3,6‐dihydro‐4‐hydroxy‐2,6‐dioxo‐2H‐1,3‐thiazin‐5‐yl)ethylidene)‐2‐hydroxybenzohydrazide) using a wide range analytical methods, including elemental UV–Vis, FT‐IR, 1 HNMR spectrometry, molar conductivity magnetic susceptibility measurements, thermal analysis. According to the findings, chelation can occur through O, N, O atoms monoanionic chelator for generating mono‐nuclear chelates with tetrahedral geometry Cu (II) octahedral Zn (II). anticarcinogenic ability its coordinated compounds against human liver cancer (HepG‐2) was investigated. complex found have selective promising anticancer activity cell line, lower IC 50 (liver carcinoma line) higher (normal values than other produced standard drugs. Utilizing DFT computations, molecular structures were verified, offering detailed understanding their quantum chemical characteristics. In recent years, NHC-derived zwitterions [NHC·CS(X)] (X = S and NR) have gained a great deal of attention owing to their various applications in fields such as organic synthesis, organometallics, more recently catalysis. this work, we report that the reaction free triarylated triazol-5-ylidenes (MIC) with equimolar amounts dithiocarboxylate isothiocyanate derivatives allows for preparation series MIC·SC2 MIC·CSNAr good yields. Their potential ligands transition metals was demonstrated by synthesis ruthenium(II) complexes general formulas [RuCl(p-cymene)(MIC·CS2)]PF6 [RuCl(p-cymene)(MIC·CNSAr)]PF6. The ruthenium were fully characterized NMR spectroscopy, X-ray crystallography, TGA, elemental analysis. new successfully applied catalysts transfer hydrogenation aldehydes ketones showing efficiency under low catalyst loadings providing excellent conversions.

Abstract Ionic liquids (ILs), based on 1,3-dialkylimidazolium cations, are frequently used solvent components or auxiliaries for various types of biomass in biorefinery approaches. Unless washing and sample preparation have been carried out very carefully, analytical samples often contain residual traces such ionic liquids. These residues can compromise the quality physicochemical analyses, as was demonstrated monosaccharide analysis after hydrolysis by gas chromatography, high-performance thin-layer ion chromatography (IC), even damage equipment, chromatographic capillaries IC electrodes. We suggest a simple procedure—short stirring with solid elemental sulfur adsorbed alumina scavenger—as pretreatment to remove interfering imidazolium IL traces. The chemistry underlying this is conversion cation corresponding, water-insoluble, neutral, volatile 1,3-dialkylimidazole-2-thiones.
