Abstract Undoubtedly, metal corrosion is one of the most challenging problems faced by industries. Introducing inhibitors a reasonable approach to protecting surface. Due environmental concerns and toxicity industrial organic inhibitors, researchers are continually exploring acceptable replacements. The current study focused on application Falcaria Vulgaris (FV) leaves extract mitigate mild steel (MS) in 1 M HCl environment. polarization findings demonstrated that density decreased from 264.0 µA/cm 2 (for sample submerged blank solution) 20.4 when optimal concentration 800 ppm FV was added acid solution. Corrosion, a destructive electrochemical dissolution of metals, poses significant problem impacting numerous industry sectors. It leads to economic losses, technical performance deterioration, and environmental damage. Employing corrosion inhibitors stands out as one the most common strategies shield metallic materials from corrosion. In recent times, imidazolium-based ionic liquids (IBILs) have garnered increasing attention promising due their unique properties, including high thermal stability, conductivity, low volatility. This article provides an overview studies on utilization IBILs for stainless steels in various corrosive environments. Initially, brief information steel resistance is presented, followed by discussion possible attachment mechanisms. Furthermore, mechanisms involved protection are explored, along with factors influencing efficiency inhibitors. review emphasizes potential diverse industrial applications.

Gas hydrates pose a serious flow assurance challenge due to their ability form, agglomerate, and block subsea flowlines on relatively fast time scales, leading the loss of production potential safety environmental risks. The hydrate management strategy based antiagglomerant inhibitors has gained significant interest in recent years, particularly long tiebacks, maturing fields, deep-water projects. However, most antiagglomerants used are not environmentally friendly, compatibility issues with corrosion also arise during coinjection operations. Here, new oleic acid derivative was synthesized develop two formulations (OADs) as green multifunctional chemicals control agglomeration risks inside oil gas pipelines. experimental results showed that OADs effectively inhibited methane growth formed transportable slurry water–paraffin mixture. Moreover, 0.1 wt % completely suppressed process carbon steel CO2- H2S-saturated solution by protection 99.4%. Computational studies revealed adsorption surface increased its hydrophobicity, preventing water droplets from aggregating or clumping together. Additionally, decreased binding energy iron corrosive species up 99.5%, ions were almost no longer direct contact iron. between inhibitor indicated formation stable protective film OAD molecules protect it against acidic corrosion. These contribute show valuable source dual-purpose for hydrate-related management.
