Abstract Despite the current increased spread of modern mobility options in urban areas aimed at inducing changes choices, their integration into daily life remains sporadic, reducing potential impact on adoption shared services as a usual mode transport. This paper provides literature review established models psychological factors, including values, beliefs, and personal norms, particularly focused pro-environmental behaviors influencing choices facilitating more sustainable transportation habits, often supported by technological advancements. We started considering recent increase complexity cities needs, which induced policymakers to pay attention sustainability people’s movements promoting various kinds options. Then, we illustrated most consolidated factors linked ecological behaviors, also summarizing main results present regarding variables that influence choices. The final goal was highlight crucial aspects should be considered foster effective use new modes help reduce environmental caused traffic.

Abstract Micromobility, which includes bicycle-sharing systems, e-scooters, and shared moped-style scooters, has emerged as a popular alternative to traditional transport modes in urban environments, thus expanding the number of transportation options available travellers. Previous research primarily relied on trip-based data explore multimodal character micromobility. However, existing evidence failed understand ways travellers have reshaped their mobility patterns consequence introduction Using travel survey (N = 902) set Barcelona, Spain, cluster techniques are used group micromobility users according frequency use three different (bicycle-sharing private e-scooter, scooter-sharing services). Then, multinomial logistic regression was used, order each cluster’s usage transport, along with all potential weekly combinations between modes. Results show that most rely single type mode basis. The model further indicates bicycle, scooter develop combination patterns. While personal (private e-scooter) associated monomodal tendencies, sharing services (bicycle sharing) encourage behaviours. These findings contribute limited knowledge concerning role some alternatives creating more rational less habit-dependent behaviour choices.
